Great post kommodevaran! I might add, think of food as different drugs for your health. It's important to take the right doses. I follow to some extent the ZONE DIET which works well with MYFITNESSPAL.

I only use fitbit to track foot steps ( miles) I walk 3 1/2 miles on the walk with my dog and takes an hour. I log that in MFP and it registers as a loss of 400 calories.
