  • Either try to go to places that have healthier choices or keep a snack in your car with you should you be tempted. I personally always keep a fruit snack or trail mix in my car so I can't have the excuse of not having any food.
  • I literally cannot swallow sushi because of the seaweed on the outside. It has ruined me for any other kind of sushi to include the kind without seaweed. :s
  • I personally starved when I tried making my own meal replacement shakes. I just love food way too much. I decided a balanced and healthy diet was better for me in the long run!
  • Bran sounds way better for you that rice krispies. My personal favorite is the Kashi Strawberry Fields. Nom nom nom.... :)
  • Oh man I got pulled into the evil schemes by the checkout counter today. Grabbed me a Ferrero Rocher 3-pack. I don't even want to look at the nutrition facts :#
  • I say go for it. You're always going to have people out there that are trying to disprove a good thing. Coconut oil has plenty of studies proclaiming its benefits. I personally cook with it, my husband uses it in his hair, and we both put it in our oatmeal in the mornings.
  • String cheese, pita chips with hummus, or a sliced apple with some warmed up fat free caramel sauce!
  • I weigh 138 and am 5' 3''. On average, I consume about 2000 calories a day. Lord only knows what I consume on my cheat day though :#
  • Thanks for undermining my reply but I don't see any thoughts of yours posted on here that reflect any sort of academic work. Just opinions after opinions. Oh and more opinions....
  • Every morning I have 2 scrambled eggs (I need to start taking the yolks out but they taste too good) and I add a side of about 6 strawberries. On my cheat days I add whipped cream and sugar to the strawberries as an extra treat. This holds me over until lunch if I am busy enough.
  • I was looking at these recently as well. They are becoming a fad again thanks to the Kardashians (insert eye roll). But seriously did consider it. I think they need to put more information out there regarding the negative effects. I personally decided not to try it recently due to not wanting my organs to shift around. So…

Some studies show that sugar and artificial sweeteners affect the brain in different ways. The human brain responds to sweetness with signals to eat more. By providing a sweet taste without any…
  • Incline treadmill because I can go faster on that than the stairmaster. I only use the stairmaster on leg days.
  • Thats great that the numbers are going down. I would follow your own advice and not rely on the mirror so much everyday. You know the numbers are dropping so why rush the process! Good luck and I'm sending motivation and patience your way!

  • If you focus so much on the scale, your going to be disappointed at some point. Don't let the scale deter you from your fitness goals. And remember that muscle weighs more than fat. So if you are starting to build muscle, the weight loss might plateau for a period. Good luck and keep your head up!
  • This is your year!!! Sending motivation your way. You have the tools and now you have the willpower to change for the better :)
