  • I would suggest some TRX straps. You can definitely blast your entire body on TRX. There are so many variations to make it more challenging. Also, rubber bands. You can also do a variety of isolated exercises on rubber bands and it gives you a solid concentric and eccentric workout. I would also suggest two sets of kettle…
  • Mix your training up. Do volume (20-50reps) on the exercises above (squats, goblet squats, sumos, glute bridge w/barbell across hip, lunges etc...) Also, have a day where you work up to heavy weight (6-8 rep range) and then drop set 4-6 sets roughly.
  • No time to really prepare. So its really going to be all about how bad you want the job. You probably have the strength, but it's going to be a big mental challenge. I did annual fed law enforcement/ military fitness exams. I did learn some tricks to make it easier even though I can pass them easily. I learned in order to…
  • Personally I think it's dangerous trying to explain a movement without some sort of visual demonstration. Guarenteed someone read this and is still doing them wrong. Everything is a lot easier said than done.
  • How's your dorsiflexion? A lack of dorsiflexion in your ankles will throw off your biomechanics and cause your legs to endure more stress. Look into dorsiflexion stretches and strengthening.
  • Until you get hurt. I have met so many people destroyed by crossfit. Also, it's been around for decades. Just another name for interval training and Olympic lifting. Liked it better when it was only known in the police, fire, and military community. I hope you don't get hurt. Good luck and have fun.
  • Do you have access to a pool? If so, try doing some pool exercises. The water takes a lot of stress from your joints. Not necessarily swimming, but low impact aerobics. Check the web for some pool aerobic workouts. It will benefit your joints and your weight loss goals. Good luck.
  • I live in NOLA lol. Yes it can be extremely hard to stay on track. Seems like every weekend is a festival. A lot of eating and drinking. I workout hard and eat clean all week so I can enjoy the weekends to go out and eat and drink with friends. Have fun in NOLA lol...stop by The Butcher for food. It will make you believe…
  • Yea I live in New Orleans and it's the land of temptation haha. A lot of good food that's bad for you lol.
  • Yes of course. It's possible to stay lean and gain. Just keep a clean diet, hit your calories, and do your core exercises.
  • Former Air Force vet here. First off, your standards are a little off. Secondly, are you trying to get a 100% on the test or just trying to pass? Bc the standards you posted are for a perfect score. Max points for run under 10:23, max points for push ups 47, max points sit ups 54. You can already run a 10 min 1.5 which is…
  • First off, great job on losing all that weight. You look great. I do the same, once I hit a goal I make a harder one to push myself to the next level. What I like to do is visualize that next goal. Thinking about it constantly when working out to fuel me especially when I'm tired so I don't quit when I know I can probably…
  • Hard copy for me. There's a good one you can buy at Barnes n noble
  • Legs...lots of lunges, squats, RDLs, leg ext, and Glute and Ham machine. I'm going to be crippled. Also, some side bar shoulder exercises.
  • Those and ab exercises. The ab burn destroys me.
  • Haha. Pretty much those two exercises are key. Exhausting as hell, but build everything.

  • Bulgarian split squats burn! Even without weights they smoke you. I just woke up bc my legs started to lock up when i rolled. Lol
  • Haha yea I'm not a fan of it either. Circuit training and giant supersets maintaining a solid heart rate is my cardio. However, I don't mind the stair master.
  • I like them for a quick shoulder circuit. My shoulders get destroyed doing "I", "Y", and reverse flys.

  • Do you have a crockpot? If so, you can make a lot meals that can last a few days for cheap.
  • I don't really weigh myself. If that's what motivates you go for it...but I've seen ppl do that and get frustrated bc they're not losing or gaining weight as fast as they want to. You ever think about taking progress photos? I've seen that help keep people motivated when they can see the difference between the original…
  • Oh and th sun warrior does have a strong stevia sweetener taste. I didn't know of any lead issues with this product. That's kind of freaky lol. I just started taking it so I hope they worked it out.
  • Remember you're in control. It does take time but you can do this. Visualize what you want and start doing it step by step. Think about it constantly and use it to give you motivation and next thing you know you can accomplish anything. "A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard…
  • I want to try to hit 200lbs and still be under 10%...it's hard as hell. I'm stuck at 190 and I'm struggling hitting the cal intake and macros everyday. It's just a lot of food lol.
  • I take Sun Warrior-Warrior Blend chocolate flavor. I don't get fancy with my shakes I just mix it with water. The taste is pretty good with just water, but it does taste a little gritty. I'm sure when you get fancy with it adding some type of milk, fruit, or yogurt it will taste phenomenal and cancel out the grittiness.…
  • Would you consider a vegan protein? If so, I would recommend Sun Warrior-Warrior Blend.
  • Wow Pilates sounds like a beast. Never messed with it but I really need to start doing something with more structure like that. Plank nightmare though lol
  • I'm not a vegan, but I do use a vegan protein. I recommend trying it if you're looking for a good protein supplement. Sun warrior-warrior blend.
  • Ok then...I'm wrong. Jeez just trying to share information that helped me achieve my goals and still using to achieve bigger and better goals. So far so good. So please excuse my terrible advice.
  • I was a little vague on change. Im just saying changing your rest time, increasing sets, slowly bring down reps while increasing weight seems to be getting great results. Private message me ndj1979 if you feel like I'm BS. I'll be happy to give you all the proof you need...but you won't and you'll probably continue to…
