It took my friend one year to lose 10 lbs doing 10,000 steps per day EVERYDAY. This was with no diet change. It is effective, but it's a lifestyle change, and it does take time. With a calorie deficit, look at your myfitness pal goals. It will tell you how many calories you can eat to lose 1 or 2 lbs per week.

I need to stock up on nuts...

I didn't buy into many things in the documentary. It was the animals that bothered me. BTW, I am from the hog plant area in North Carolina so I grew up smelling pigs and watching chickens head to the slaughter (all my friends work at those plants). I can't change how it made me feel. I do however disagree with some…

On average I get between 45g- about 60g, unless I'm supplementing with shakes, then it's more.

Thanks! It seems I have been grocery shopping a million times this week. Slowly but surely I am getting my pantry in order. I appreciate your help. My co-workers just told me to keep quinoa handy... I absolutely hate it but will try again

Thank you thank you thank you! I really appreciate the help and that you took my question seriously! Thanks! I have been eating tofu and it's growing on me. And I have not tried the processed stuff simply because even eating meat etc, I don't eat much processed food. My issue is wine

Oh and just an update!! I am a few days short of 2 weeks. Still no desire to eat meat.

It is a moral reason. My disclaimer was meant for people just like you. If you don't want to help, that's fine. But don't think for a minute that your rude comments and trying to call my bluff is going to make me feel some type of way. I don't apologize if seeing a slaughter house has completely made me not meat right now.…

I've done keto on and off for some time. First, warning, the carb flu. For about a week, I felt very lethargic and tired. I lost too much weight too fast. But I was not counting calories at the time. I noticed that the majority of foods I would flock to were very unhealthy, so I started eating more fish. My niece lost 40…

It's about....800?? Maybe less, of course this is on sedentary days. When I exercise, I eat back what I burn to keep my calories at 1200 and no lower.
-
I'm ready!

That's good to know because I was so disappointed in myself! But good days still outweigh the bad, so I know I'm on the right path...
-
If I can, I will go longer. Just setting a small goal that's attainable for now.
-
No, no steroids for me! I'm happy with my results thus far. Even though I weigh more than I did before my birthday, I look better now. So I can definitely tell that the weight lifting is playing a huge part!
-
You look incredible! Thank you!
-
oh yeah and I am doing 3 day/full body and LOVE IT!

All of the advice has been EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!! I ended up backing my protein to around 118 daily, sometimes higher, but never lower than 100g. Still eating from 1400-1600 a day (mind you in I get a 500 calorie workout in, I eat those 500). I want to minimize muscle loss while being in a deficit. I only weigh weekly, and…

I agree! If calories in vs calories out are the goal, why not fill in my calories with protein to prevent muscle wasting on my deficit?! Of course I wrote the post lol because I am NO expert in this field at all.
-
Awesome advice, thanks so much! I have learned to be more lenient and still have great results!!
-
You hang in there! Just like with learning to tie a shoe, one day it just "clicks". And thank you!
-
Thank you!

Hey everyone! I'm in, I have lost 1 pound a week for 6 weeks consistently. I think its a wonderful and achievable goal! From 160 to 154!
-
I eat all of them back.
-
Thanks so much! I have officially put the scale away. I'm eating in a deficit and going to the gym, so I KNOW I'm doing the right thing.
-
Ok perfect! I downloaded the program.
-
PHUL? I'll look it up.
-
hahaha yes! lol :D
-
That motivates me! Thank you!

And last week I lost 2 lbs!
