Are you drinking a lot of water? I sometimes have a hard time distinguishing when my body wants food, and when it wants water. But having an appetite/cravings isn't the same as hunger either! I'd like to get to a point of trying this. Right now I am just emotionally reliant on food. Working on breaking that cycle first, then I'll do it! Not every day, but here and there.

I kinda like doing that. I don't buy kids' plates, but most stores have "snack" size plates for a full dinner service, and I have a handful of those that I find myself using a lot.

I am definitely more confident. I will always be a wallflower, but I used to figure there was no point in doing anything to look nice because I was gross. I have been eating a lot of the Boathouse Farms yogurt-based dressings - they're usually 40 cals/serving. The roasted garlic one has all but replaced ranch for me!

I eat pasta much more rarely than I used to, and I don't drink soda anymore. I do measure my pasta by weight when I eat it. Same with crackers etc.

I am actually struggling with that right now - slipping a lot on diet and exercise and seeing the weight creep back on! I have been logging my food today and I brought my gym bag to work with me. I usually just use my step tracker for treadmill stuff, because Fitbit translates burned calories to MFP way better than the treadmill estimates!

She says in her post she's going to the doctor but was looking for info in the interim. I didn't think about joint supplements! Might help me with some of my minor annoyances. (That and building some dang leg strength.)

With my mom, either we were fat and eating too much, or not eating enough so we must be anorexic (both were causes for ridicule at the family dinner table). Sigh. I don't plan to have children but I will definitely be very body positive with my nieces (AND nephew)!

We did not really snack between meals, and drinking anything other than water between meals was verboten! We only had juice/milk/whatever during meals. I kinda went buck wild drinking tons of juice and soda for a while once I was on my own, but now I rarely drink anything but water. I also had the "clear your plate" rule.…

OMG I have that too. In general I just have less cushion! Sitting on my bicycle for long rides hurts my booty so much more now :lol: My wedding ring is also slipping off way too easily. I have got to get this thing resized.
