I think asking for a dietician is a great idea... I really want to give my baby the best nutrition and carbs can carry a lot of great stuff... the weight gain doesn't bother me because it's not forever, so I think I'll give him another call and ask for a referral!

Pre-baby I was eating 1900 and working out 30-40 mins a day and hadn't lost weight in a month ? If I lose weight I will definitely bump up the intake!

As stated in previous comments, I have :) and he doesn't know how the macronutrients would look he gave me a general answer of low carb

Yeah I called and he just said to not eat refined or processed food... which I really don't, but I do eat a lot of rice and potatos so I'm trying to figure out where to put my carbs at so that I can control the amount of carbs I guess? He doesn't want me gaining too fast, I have a tendency to put on weight pretty quickly with my previous pregnancies and he's worried about me developing GD (which I didn't have either time before)... I tried to ask him if I could just eat in deficit but he specifically asked me to try low carb and watch my sugars.

I appreciate this response! I have a 2 year old and soon to be 1 year old and pregnant with number 3 and my goal is to have a healthy pregnancy this time! And develop a healthy relationship with food ❤

I've dabbled in using meat substitutes but feel like the whole processed food thing makes it worse than eating actual meat... so I'm torn because I don't want to fill my body with garbage but can't stand meat

What was your diet like? Your skin looks fab!

Well I did say no right or wrong answers haha

I'm a little late, but I like to get frozen stir fry veggies and throw that together with brown rice and some braggs aminos... maybe even some tofu if I have time. The beyond meatless strips are awesome with it too but take some time to cook :) Also steamed broccoli and oil free fries

Meeeee and I'm set at 75% carbs and 15%protein and 10% fat and hitting protein is a breeze with Whole Foods :) I eat Whole Foods all week and my "cheat" includes the processed vegan cheese or Oreos haha
