Fantastic se Raining here too. If you can't get out at least walk in place or dance. Any body movement will help you feel better and get you closer to your goal. See if you can drink a glass of water before you binge on bad snacks or food. It will help you feel full and give you a moment to reconsider your choice. Today's…

Way to go! Excellent self control.

I am happy to see all the new faces on this group and welcome to all of you! The progress comes a lot easier with solid support and this is THE place. Remember that every day ends in Y. Just make sure you start it with, I can.

As a personal trainer and a guy I get the bra reference. With my female clients that is where I tell them they may first notice a size reduction. Congratulations on another victory Captain!

Definitely great choices! Fitbit, more water and more support. When you increase your water you will have to get up more and that burns more calories. Win win! Try fruit or cucumber slices in your water.

Not knowing how much water you drink, it could be a culprit in robbing your sodium intake. Your doctor may recommend an electrolyte replacement drink. Pedialyte is one. The subject of healthy fats, I would recommend coconut oil. A tablespoon a day is healthy. Nuts, olive oil, and avocado are an excellent source as well.

Agreed! Just making a presence on the group is a great start. Everyone is in this together. Keep up the great work!!

ninthnarnian, congratulations on taking the step to lose, and you are in! This is an awesome place to be. Your struggles will be easier with support. I would like to friend you and talk about your limitations. I do in home training with clients that have a lot of weight to lose. Any advice I can give you I will pass over…

Congratulations! Holding yourself accountable, tracking intake and pre-making lunch is awesome. Getting a nutritionist is a huge plus too. Keep resisting the nummies!

Speaking from a personal trainer standpoint, they are great. Anything that helps you track your movement or exercise will benefit you. My wife links hers to her MFP. If cost is an issue, start with a pedometer or phone app that has one. Set yourself a daily goal and stick to it. Welcome back!

1-2 lb weight loss per week is typical, so you are doing great! A plateau is usually beaten by adjusting intake or exercise since the body adapted. I just made curry the other night but always enjoy different recipes. Please email me a copy shirayne.

Good morning to all and greetings to the new ones!! I want to share a story of my wife's journey. She had a goal to run a 5k after her loss of 200+ lbs. She ran it Saturday and finished. Her story is on my blog at guidancefitnesspt.com I enjoy hearing of all the successful stories you share and am glad to be a part of the…

That is definitely a major hurdle to cross. Congratulations! These positives add up and make it all come together.

Swimming is fantastic exercise! You can build muscle in the water for sure. Waving your arms and kicking underwater takes a lot of work. Keep up the progress!

Once you friend someone if they're settings are open you can view the diary when they close out. I blog some recipe ideas at guidancefitnesspt.com

I make a white bean dip to use with veggies that is on my blog Your Gateway to Health

Every victory is HUGE! Congratulations on the energy level and overall mood!! Don't get too wrapped up in scale numbers going down, fat loss can be a percentage or how your clothes fit you. Daily fluctuations due to food and fluid will affect those numbers too. Bob

Sounds delicious and healthy!

Nice job on the weight loss and getting help from a RD. Keep it up!!!

The caramel machiatto is my favorite. Awesome choice!

Happy Thursday everyone! You are all beautiful!!!

You are right, one day will not hurt you. Like falling off the proverbial bike you must get back on. The saying 'one day at a time,' sometimes has to broken down to minutes. When I struggled with alcohol addiction there were many days it was one minute to the next. Keep pushing on.

I totally agree with prof_newme, getting checked by your Dr. Also on the plenty of water and protein. Unfortunately we don't usually get enough protein.
-
Keep it up, swimming is great exercise. Muscle movement and cardio are a winning combo!

You're welcome shirayne. There are many positives to focus on and sometimes it takes the help of others to point them out. Everyone in this group is as good as gold. We are all of value.

That is an obtainable goal! My struggled with her weight and being a programmer kept her very inactive. Her success story is on my website along with her before and after photo. Guidancefitnesspt.com No gimmicks or fad exercise, just an ambition like every one on here and support. This group is a terrific support system!

A new day with new possibilities! I have to fight feeling fatigued by starting off with good energy food. Oatmeal, chia seeds, honey, eggs, I sometimes have rice and fish for breakfast. I try to eat within the first hour of waking and get in some stretching and walking in place. Making it a routine will help make it stick.…

I use these with my clients to track progress. You have to know your starting point. Monitoring the body fat is a great indicator of inches lost. I prefer using a hand held BF% monitor over using a scale. Don't get discouraged.

Happy St Patty's Day everyone! Be mindful of the portions with all that is offered today. I know I can pig out on beef if I'm not cautious. Try to get in some exercise, even if it's setting the coffee cup down in between sips and walking to the other side of the room. Every step counts and you CAN do this :-)
