So far today I've had a brownie and two squares of raw chocolate ;)

It's up to you. I've found that having mini goals was more encouraging than one final goal. Once I got to my first goal (losing 5 kg), I felt confident that I could put in the work to continue losing.

Salted potato chips. They're no longer allowed in the house :p

I've never heard of frying the dough raw, I always thought that it needs to be pre-cooked by simmering, steaming or baking. Nonetheless, this recipe sounds good, I'll be giving it a go.

There is a fantastic Indian restaurant near me which is entirely vegetarian and vegan. It's so nice to be able to order ANYTHING on the menu. Saying that though, I always get the butter "chicken" :p

Mexican-inspired seems to be a theme here :) This is something I make quite often, because it's easy to prepare, the basic ingredients are almost always in the pantry, and it's good to eat for a few day, or freeze. Note that you can basically put whatever you want in it, this is just how I tend to make mine. Mexi-lasagne…

Does anyone make seitan? I'd love to hear about your base recipes and cooking techniques. Edit: wording

I collect cacti, but I cannot keep anything edible alive :D

Same here. I live with my parents, but I like to cook my own meals so I can control my calorie intake. I like to make big portions of stew, mexi-lasagne, soup, etc, then freeze single serves. This allows me to do all the planning, weighing and cooking when I have time, so I don't have to worry when I don't have time.…

Lord of the Fries is entirely vegetarian and vegan. They have burgers and hot dogs, but my favourite is the halal snack pack. It has chips, "meat" strips, hummus, cheese, sriracha and bbq sauce.

Hey, I'm Ash, 21 from Sydney, AU. I've been vegetarian for 11 years, and in that time I've tried veganism, the raw food diet (no food that's been heated about 50°C, yikes!), and have now settled back into vegetarianism. I don't eat meat, fish or gelatine. My experience with MFP (lost 10kg, 5-10kg to go) has given me a…

What sort of alternatives are you looking for? Just as a protein source, or in cooking/baking? I've heard of people using applesauce or greek yoghurt as substitutes. I've personally found Orgran's No Egg to work pretty well in cakes/muffins. Scrambled soft tofu is pretty good. As for quick sources of protein, greek…

Just popping in to say I misread the title to be "Ghost hunter" :D

You could change your meal names in MFP diary to time slots instead of meal names. For example, I have "6AM-9AM" instead of "Breakfast".

Fountain (Australia) has "no added sugar" tomato and barbecue sauces, and I love them. The fact that they use stevia doesn't bother me.

I drink mostly water, milk, tea and coffee. I've never been much of a soft drink person, but occasionally I'll have diet lemonade or ginger beer. I have no issues with the taste of artificial sweeteners in soft drink, but I prefer sugar in my tea/coffee.

If you like it, and it fits into your calorie goal, then there's no issue as far as I can see
-
I drink skim milk because whole milk give me stomach cramps, and light never seems to get cold enough in the fridge.
-
Plain potato chips (crisps)... I have one, then another, until I've have the whole pack :p
-
Awww now I'm craving Indian food ;)
-
I like to make a quick stew with veggies (zucchini, mushrooms, onion, etc), canned tomatoes, lentils or black beans, and have it on toast or with rice. I make enough for two or three serves. Also: - baked beans on toast - omelette with veg/meat

Vegetarian of 11 years here and I've just started daily logging again. Feel free to add me :)

Update: My mum and I have been working together to make the recipes she has been using a bit healthier (more veg, less cheese, etc). To everyone who suggested that I move out, that's not really possible at the moment. Here in Australia, 20 is a perfectly reasonable age to still be living at home. I work part time, I study…

Me: 3 LNS: 0 Since I tend to not eat enough during the day, I think I need to change my plan. Instead of banning late night snacking, I will allow eating after dinner as long as it: 1. Is weighed and logged, no mindless eating 2. Doesn't push me over my calorie goal for the day After dinner tonight, I still hadn't quite…

Yay I love challenges! For me, late night snacking is any food after dinner; tea and water are fine. My goal is to go the whole of March without eating after dinner :| Me: 1* LNS: 0 Good luck everyone!

Netflix. At the moment I'm working my way through Merlin and House. I love Welcome to Night Vale! Also, I used to use the Zombies Run app. Good fun

What's wrong with having a bit of fun with food? Just because someone does not want to eat animals, does not mean they should be confined to a life of salads and slabs of tofu. You clearly have a strong understanding of lesbian sexuality. Bravo
