To lose 2 lbs 1200 calories
-
teresadannar I guess I just need to stick with it and not give up so easily. I need to lose 60 lbs and it feels so overwhelming.

Hi linda7i3i. Could you share more about how you eat? Did you cut way back on the calories? I am 59 and I can not lose a lb. Mostly because I can't get motivated, because I see no progress.

There's nothing that says you HAVE to go to a gym to workout. I don't know what your mornings are like, but could you get up a few minutes earlier to do an exercise video? Even 15 minutes would help energize you. Then add more time when you can.

AnnPT77, tammierlewis and Trina2040, thank you so much for your responses. I will take your advice and have blood tests done when I have my physical in March. I don't sleep well after a hard day of exercise, so I think I am going to try to get in a routine before bedtime to help me fall asleep. And I may be dehydrated as…

I have a question for all you ladies that exercise regularly. I am 56 years old and my whole life I have been active. I regularly walked 4 miles a day. When I was 49, I started running, which I love to do. I have done a number of 5ks and well as a half marathon. But lately, I can't seem to be consistent in my exercise. My…

I don't know how to "quote". But to comment on taking pictures of your mementos. I do this with my grandchildren's "art". I actually see it more since it is on my phone/computer and not in a box somewhere.

It may be caused by your shoes. When I have had back pain in the past, getting new shoes has always helped. I think as you get older, good shoes become more important.

Good job! Just remember that feeling. At times, that is the only thing that gets me out the door. I know how good it feels when it is done. :)

Week 3 Day 3 finished. Took it outside again. Did a total of 4.25 miles in 60:21 minutes. 5k time of 41:10. Week 4 will be a challenge. We are vacationing in the mountains next week. Not sure I will be able to handle them. I am a flat-lander.

I just keep telling myself "I can do ANYTHING for 3 minutes" or 2 or 1. And, I know how disappointed I would be in myself if I didn't finish, especially if I am able and am just being lazy. Just remember it is a process, just follow the plan. I have actually done this before. At one time I could run an hour without…

Week 3 Day 1 finished. I have to admit, running 3 minutes was hard! BUT, I did it!

Week 2 day 3- took it outside today. Did a total of 5.3 miles in 77.26 minutes. 5k time of 45:03

You asked if 3.5 is too slow....that is only up to you to decide. But what I do is at each interval I increase the speed. So if the first interval I did 3.5 the next would be 3.6, and so on until I can't increase more or I am done. Then the next run I would start at 3.6 and so on. It is really different to run out side. At…

Week 2 Day 2 done. Feeling good.

Thanks. This makes sense.

Week 2 Day 1 finished. My time was slower than Saturday's. My perfectionist tendencies makes me want to feel bad about it. BUT, I showed up and did the best I could. That is not failing, right?

GOOD JOB!!

I have done the C25k several times. I have run several races. I love the competition. BUT...for various reasons I stopped running. I have since gained 25 lbs. Today I commit to starting again. Every October I run a race that is raising money for a hospice that my mom was in. My goal race is October 17th. I need someone to…
