  • My mum and I were talking about this a couple weeks ago, as we remember going to classes back in the 2000s! I haven't done any since, but am thinking about recommending it to mum as a way to build up her cardio and general fitness. For those who do it regularly, are there youtube workouts etc that can be followed by…
  • Hey! I am now transitioning to maintenance but I was at 1200 calories for a while. If you have a sweet tooth, two things I would recommend are low calorie hot chocolate, you can buy ones for around 40 kcal a serving and the Fibre One chocolate brownie squares are awesome, quite small but only 87 kcal and reaaallly yummy!
  • You say you eat keto 80% of the time, but are you actually counting calories? A food scale could also be useful, just to be sure you are eating the calories you think you are
  • I am pretty much in the same boat, have lost 90 lbs since October 2018 and am now at a healthy BMI. It's pretty daunting to start eating more and accept that the scales might sometimes go up, I have started increasing my calories slowly, around 100 a week, and am weighing myself every day on a weight tracking app just to…
  • that's my plan! Luckily I actually quite enjoy logging my days so I can easily see myself doing it for a long time
  • My diary is open and I log every day, I also often log days in advance  feel free to add me!
  • thanks, I will look in to that! :)
  • I always pre-log my day so that I know exactly what food I can have that day, it helps if I get hungry during the day and I already know what snacks I can have without reaching for something high calorie! I have also found that, as boring as it might sound, eating the same things most days helps with consistency. For…
  • Congrats! As you said, being honest with tracking really does work!
  • is it just snacks or meals you will need? I would normally bring cut up veggies/fruit and some protein bars to keep going!
  • Family noticed my weight loss when i went from 250lbs to 220lbs but I didn't get any comments from people at work/friends until I was in the 180s. I think people are hesitant to comment on weight loss until there is a significant difference incase they are mistaken in your weight loss efforts as people are often worried…
  • What about the corn do you think would be bad for weight loss? As long as you weigh it and know how many calories of it you are eating it will not make you gain weight if you stick to your calorie goal! 100 kcal of corn on the cob and 100 kcal of kale will have the same effect on your weight, it’s the calories not the type…
  • These are the two watches I was considering last month, I ended up with the Versa as I was more interested in a fitness watch rather than a smart watch and didn't want to pay the extra cash for something I wasn't overly interested in. Obviously I can't speak for the apple watch, but the Versa has been great, it syncs with…
  • I only got my fitbit a couple of weeks ago, but from what I have gathered, Fitbit automatically syncs your steps to MFP but you need to manually input your individual workouts to MFP.
  • I only prep my lunches for the week, this week is sausage and lentil casserole with carrots, celery and sweet potato, nice and easy to microwave at uni!
  • I normally just have 1 medium egg, but as others have said you can eat as many as your heart desires within your calorie goal!
  • I have always stuck with Nike, maybe look for a pair that have a tie on the inside waist band that you could tighten?
  • I will have a look for that on Strava, cheers! That also makes sense, I will be careful then if I ever use the fitbit instead of the polar for logging exercise!
  • have you tried black coffee with a smidge of honey in it? It's my new go to!
  • Im about 5 foot 8 so not unusually tall. When i'm at the gym the bike normally estimates around 310 calories for 30 minutes but as far as I know it doesn't measure power, but I will look out for one when I get back to the gym next week. I used Strava today, I can only see speed/distance etc for my ride, is there a specific…
  • I get MyProtein chocolate brownie diet protein blend, it comes in a 500g bag for £9.49 and has about 20 servings. Each serving has around 21g protein and only 96kcal if you mix it with water, I always add a bit of almond milk as well if i have it in the house!
  • For lower calorie dinners, it is quite quick and easy to make a spaghetti bolognese or beef chilli. They can also be made in bulk and frozen in portions which can make dinners easier during busy weeks.
  • On the website go to Food then recipes and there should be a green box to the right saying Enter New Recipe. Select that and then input the recipe name and state how many servings this recipe is for. Then you just need to add in each ingredient and save recipe when finished, when you need to log the recipe in future it…
