  • I’m originally from NZ but live in the UK now. Just a thought, would you go to Europe for the surgery? It’s FAR cheaper over this way. I went to Lithuania and the clinic was amazing. Lots of brits go to Turkey but you really need to do your research. If you were paying for the surgery in NZ, you’d probably get it cheaper…
  • I had one in July last year. I have yo-yo'd with my weight for years and no amount of gym work was going to help what I had done to my body. I dont regret it at all. I am in the UK and went to Lithuania and the surgeons/clinic were amazing! Healing was pretty good and I went back to work after 12 days. Was a bit tough and…
  • I had 2 wisdom teeth out so am on a liquid diet at the moment. Not by choice. Missing decent food :( Dont do it to yourself! So much easier and sustainable eating actual food
  • Thanks all. It was just more of a curiosity thing. I google lots of random things when bored but dont believe half of what i read lol. I know when im retaining water and why and like i said im fine heathwise. I had never really noticed a difference when taking magnesium in the past but it was also something i never thought…
  • Mushrooms - the look, texture, smell *shudders*. Its a fungus people! Adding to the list, most seafoods, blue or any other smelly cheese, game meats, olives. I know I have lots more lol - I can be SUPER fussy..
  • yes. Unless you choose to share it :)
  • Thank you! I will start taking magnesium regularly and maybe start eating more greens etc and see if that helps :)
  • Definetly not pregnant lol or at least I hope bl**dy not! haha. I've been doing weight machines for the last few months with adding the weight room gradually so am progressing into lifting heavier. Treadmill I started off walking on incline then building up my running times
  • I lost about 10-15kgs then moved countries. Stopped tracking, ate what I want etc. Probably gained back half of what I lost. I ended up just getting back into the mindset. Im in a new country and want to start fresh so losing weight and looking better was important and even though it took me a couple of months to get back…
  • First ever pics posted in the forum. SW: 110kg (242lbs) in May 2016. CW: 76.5kg (168.7 lbs). Looking to get to about 65kg (143lbs). Properly starting tracking my calories exactly one year ago and have slacked on and off over that time (due to moving countries). Joined a gym in January and are starting to see results again…
  • Facebook is the worst for woo diets. Always seeing something about taking a pill, drinking this, eating that to lose 10kgs in 2 weeks! Wtf. Thats not even possible uess you are morbidly obese, like morbidly!! Then I see all these people asking how do I sign up and tagging their friends etc. I dont say anything anymore…
  • I make a big batch of chilli from time to time. 500gm beef mince, 2x can kidney/chilli beans, diced flavoured tomatoes then bulk it up with anything you prefer thats low calories. Usually the 3 above ingredients with some spices are enough for me. Makes about 6 servings, versatile and come in about 350cal a serving plus…
  • Do some light exercise. It actually helps even if its the last thing you feel like doing
  • I watched a documentary last week on You Tube about a guy who did a water fast for 55 days. He lost 43lbs and a little muscle. If he had just eaten at a calorie deficit he would've lost a lot more and not lost any muscle. He was a big guy. There was really no benefit at all with him doing the fast.. im sure with an update…
  • Aww good i miss those donuts and the nz fush n chup shops :( im a kiwi in the UK. I miss our food!! Lol
  • Start taking Magnesium. I have IBS sometimes and when I change my diet I get 'clogged up'. Magnesium has helped a LOT. I found out about it from here on the forums awhile ago. Next day Im all good to go haha. Make sure it contains vitamin c so that your body will absorb it :)
  • Hi guys thanks for that. I bought the Ionic and i love it!! Its really motivating me to go harder with working out ie taking the stairs and not the lift, going harder at the gym. Im a bit concerned though cause i am getting some high calorie burns from it which im not sure are accurate. I get about 700-1000 exercise…
  • If anyone has any suggestions I'd like to try them apart from cutting calories cause I have a fit bit and eat maybe half back at the most (today im over but was quite a bit under yesterday). Getting good amount of protein, have cut carbs a bit, sodium levels are so so depending on the day but mostly pretty good... i dont…
  • Yep using a food scale, measuring my foods etc. Being as accurate as I possibly can be. Been going hard at the gym so thinking its water retention?? Have started eating more to counteract my exercise burn cause i wasnt and i was starving! It hasnt made any difference at all! Still sitting within the same kilo.. *sigh*
  • I hope I get a woosh soon! Been hovering within the same kilo for a month and it's driving me insane cause i want to get into the 70's kg range (first major goal). I was 80 exactly yesterday and back up again today
  • I just bought an Ionic yesterday. it's my first Fitbit and I am LOVING it!!!! Feel free to add me either on MFP or Fitbit :) //www.fitbit.com/user/6FRMLQ

  • I found this lady on YouTube. I'm going to set up a routine based on her ideas and once i get more comfortable and knowledgeable Im going to change it up :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJTOtBrfp98&list=PLOKsR87LELG2KHXUFw4l8UaLRVAyxY4qC&index=6
  • I use calories. I hate that our food labels are in kj (thankfully some have the calories mentioned). Most people know more about calories and its far easier to work out. My mum prefers kj. The numbers are too high for me to remember and work out
  • Thank you. A sacrifice would of been not going but then I would be miserable. Lose/lose situation :(
  • Thank you! Ugh never ever imagined I would put myself in this situation when I got her 3yrs ago (had never travelled or wanted too!). Have always believed dogs are a lifetime commitment and they are! I feel like a terrible, terrible, selfish person :'(
  • I had to rehome my dog today :'( I'm moving overseas from NZ to UK in 2 weeks. Planned to take her and looked into pricing etc but then researched the travel for her. Couldn't do that to her. 35+ hours, sitting in cargo hold alone. She gets quite bad seperation anxiety. Absolutely heart wrenching and this is the worst day…
  • I was quite chunky as a tween (and ever since!) and all my family used to go on about my weight and I already knew I was fat :( My mum used to force me to run and I have hated it ever since. Maybe speak to Kayla cause I think seeing a dietician would make her feel worse. It would have for me and would have been…
  • Hi all, I'm from New Zealand but am moving to the UK next month. Excited!! I would love some UK buddies if anyone wants to add me? I've lost 3st 3.2lb since last year and have 3st 5.4lb to go. I have to get used to not using the kilogram weights lol
  • I am 32, no kids. I don't weigh as much as you but I have been a bit bigger than my starting weight on here (Im still in the Obese category). I have also suffered with depression, anxiety and 'thoughts' (I don't like to say it or type it out but Im sure you know what I mean). I have had issues with alcoholism. I have found…
