  • I'm also down to the last 10 pounds, what keeps me motivated are some of the great, healthy recipes available on this site and many others online and seeing if I can leave some calories "on the table" every day!
  • I usually eat back some of my exercise calories, but I like to leave about 300 calories "on the table" to adjust for any inaccuracies in logging both calories and exercise. This seems to work for me, so far, but I am at about 1300 per day right now, so when I have to cut back to 1200' I guess I will have to walk a little…
  • Great! Welcome and stick with the program, you can do it.
  • I know what you're talking about. For me, faithfully logging food and exercise and patience to wait for the loss to come is the thing that gives me the strength to continue on toward my goal.
  • Make sure your thyroid levels are correct, some of your symptoms remind me of the exhaustion I felt prior to my Hashimoto's diagnosis

  • So lucky this week, down one and a half pounds, I count calories and stick to the sbd, I have hashimoto's and losing is extremely challenging, also had to greatly increase exercise, more than double what I used to do before this new bump in the road and the recent 20 pound gain! So far, down four pounds every one of them a…

  • I can tell you that I lost over 100lbs on this diet a few years ago. The protein is unlimited as long as you watch your portion sizes. All Phases do limit calories and carbs...... oh yes, and sugars too!
  • Flax pancakes for bfast
  • I'm interested in this as well, does MFP increase your daily calorie count to no weight loss once we lose to goal, and we can just continue to monitor using MFP?
  • Grat idea, i'm going to have to give that a try!
  • Good to meet you Corliss, I'm Betty, I have Hashimoto's as well, finding it very difficult to lose the weight gained prior to diagnosis last year, how a out you?
  • I've been a SB dieter for several years as well, and I too could not justify a paid membership, very interested in joining with and active group too.
  • Please add me, I lost 110 lbs but have gained back 20 over the past three years due to hypothyroid, trying to get back to where I belong. A real struggle now?
  • I believe it is because MFP increases the calories and everything else based on the cardio exercise you put in, so if you burn 150 calories doing aerobic exercises, you get to eat 150 more calories that day

  • I have had hypothyroid for a little over a year, and have had no success losing the 20 lbs gained prior to diagnosis until I went to a nutritionist. She suggested this site, and a few changes in diet and exercise. So far, I have lost two lbs in about three weeks, so my response to you would be that yes, you can lose…
  • I too am having difficulty losing with this thyroid problem, and find it very difficult to get rid of even one pound!
