  • Hi Jill, you can add me. I run about 25mpw in maintenance and will be training for my first full marathon in the fall.
  • I have a Garmin and log a lot of miles running. Honestly I pay 0 attention to how many calories mfp says to eat. I calculated my TDEE and eat 350 less cals per day. So every day is the same. I was finding that I would be ravenous on rest days and long/hard run days I could barely eat for 1/2 the day. But my Garmin is still…
  • I used to work out at 10:30 and break my fast at 12. Since rona I have to work out when someone is home to watch the kids. Could be 6am could be 4pm. I don't honestly notice a difference in hunger or workout performance. Do what works with your schedule and you should be fine.
  • I'm running focused. I do a full body circuit Tues and Fri about 45 min each. And run on Mon, Wed, Thurs, Saturday. My goal is to run marathons, not power lift. Your goals determine how much is enough.
  • Feel free to add me I don't really log food but exercise 5-6 days per week. Training for a 1/2 marathon in April. :)
  • I am 5'10" also and have not been less than 158 since I was a freshman in highschool... Currently at 172-176 depending on the day and I'm the size I was 6 years ago at 158. Muscle mass is a complicating factor. I originally thought 160 would be my goal but honestly I feel pretty good where I am.
  • To finish my half marathon in April under 2:10:00 To log 1,000 miles running To complete all the obstacles in my OCR To do unassisted chin ups
  • I was advised to wait till 4 months pp to resume regular workouts after a c section. From 6 weeks to 4 months I simply walked with my baby on me in a wrap. I would talk to your Dr about safe exercises.
  • Yeah, my kids and I have been sick for the last month or so too. Every time we get over one illness another strikes. Sometimes just the kids get it and sometimes it's me also. Unfortunately it affects my ability to work out either way. I'm ready for this to pass!
  • 5'10" top right Nov 2017 2 weeks post partum and approx 230lbs Left side Nov 2018 186 lbs Bottom right currently 173 lbs. Thinking I want to be about 160. But weight lifting is changing my body and I am unsure what my "happy weight" will be. Maybe I'll have an update on Nov 2020!
  • My husband is wokt through an MCL injury. As suggested above he is doing upper body lifting only from a seated position. He uses machines with adjustable weights or I assist him and get the weights ready. He always says "I feel so lazy!!" Which gets him the "lazy people get injured and sit on the couch" response. Do what…
  • Personally my walking pace gets me just over 1.25miles in 20 min. I would probably give myself 1.5 for running in place for 20. But I haven't run in place since Wii fit was popular so... 🤷
  • Someone mentioned insulin resistance. I read a study done on IF in regard to insulin resistance. It was better to skip your evening meal. ending your feasting window at 3pm actually lowered the participants insulin resistance. Something to ask your RD when you speak with them about the benefit/risks of IF. I personally do…
  • This is me too. It's part of my daily schedule to go to the gym so I just go whether I feel like it or not.
  • I'm fairly active and have 4 kids 18,11,4 and 21 months. Would love more active moms on my feed!
  • This will be the most unpopular opinion of all. But this is disrespectful to you. If you have been clear about your eating preference and they are unwilling to meet you even half way. Stop seeing them. Let your husband go if he feels he must but I would not be around people who do not respect me. I could not imagine…
  • I listen to music while I lift and during cardio. For cardio it's helpful in keeping me distracted from the monotony of the treadmill. Also I use it for pacing, I increase my pace at the end of each song till I reach my target. So I don't have to watch a clock and I can warm up my legs gradually. For lifting it actually…
  • Pretty much all of my selfies involve my children...
  • Do you know anyone who likes exercise? That would maybe be willing to drag you and help ease you in without the pain? I love exercise, I love seeing what my body is capable of and how much more I can do. 2 extra reps on last week's weight, run for an extra 5 min before I have to stop. My husband.... Hates it! All of it, he…
  • Is there a grocery store? Apples, baby carrots, bananas, pre cut celery literally requires no utensils to prepare/eat. Then opt for the leanest options you can when out. Why is there no way to take walks or put in some body weight exercises? It seems like you want to hear "well if there's no way, then just enjoy!" Which is…
  • My husband works 12 hour shifts on rotational schedule. Without meal prep we wouldn't eat. My youngest hates when I cook she cries the whole time so cooking gets done during her nap time usually. We freezer prep a few types of chili, beef stew, tacos, fajitas, beef and carrots, a couple other chicken dishes. Usually lasts…
  • So far 10 months to lose 30lbs. Still looking to lose 20 but am only 8lbs from a healthy BMI now, so I anticipate another 10 months or so.
  • I've lost the amount of cheese and average American eats in a year. Just an automobile tire to go;
  • Ok so, your pool is for sure too limited. For what I know about women, by 30 if she wants a traditional relationship she likely already has it or had it. If she doesn't, she probably has unrealistic expectations. I don't know a single woman over the age of 30 who has never been married or had children. As for on line…
  • Hi! I'm looking for some friends here too! 27lbs gone 23 to go! I'll send you a request!
  • Just weighing in on the Garmin. Mine yesterday told me to add 900 calories!!! I did a 38 minute run. If I add 900 calories for that it would surely cut into my weight loss. I trust my Garmin to track steps, sleep, minutes of activity. But not calories.
