  • Sounds interesting, one of these days I will have to check it out.
  • The tactical cardio day for Total Cardio has a pull up bar mentioned, but they give you an alternate of semi-bent over row with weights and it's only for the challenge exercise. I just used barbells and did that alternative. I did buy myself a 6 lb medicine ball as that's used as well.
  • Now if I can just learn to type. I really need to proof-read my posts :p
  • Well, another WIN to post!!! Got a call from the sleep doctor yesterday evening. She told me the results from the home study validate the in lab sleep study. That means I have lost no more sleep apnea!! She said I'm under 3 events per hour, so I don't even qualify for mild apnea...waaahhhooo!!! Amazing just 7 months ago, I…
  • I bet you feel a bit stronger the 2nd time around (next week). I know I did. I still wasn't quite able to do the base changes for the full 90 seconds, but I hung with the tripods all 3 times. I may not be as fast paced, but I try to set a pace I can finish. On the easier ones like the squat press, I just try to hammer them…
  • I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help with the calories thing. I haven't paid the counting much mind. With the BLBC, I just stuck to the meal plan and staying under 1800 calories. After the early and consistent loss each week, I didn't see a need to adjust nor track much else. After BLBC, I just committed to not buying…
  • Great! Glad it helped. I try to get a deep tissue once a month myself. The girl that does mine always asks if I'm having issues in any particular area so that she can focus on the issue. Remember to still take it easy even if you feel good. Good luck!
  • Day 10 in the books. Doing it after the dance cardio workout, I just couldn't seem to muster all 40 leg lifts in one set. Had to stop at 30 and stretch a bit and take out the last 10. Push ups are starting to get tough for one set. I'm just not strong enough yet. Squats...no challenge!
  • Yes, I wasn't stumbling through it quite as bad as last week. I had a pretty good sweat at the end as I trying move more with them add libbing as I could. Glad no one was watching me haha. I knocked out day 10 of the challenge after.
  • Dang, that sucks. I hope you can rest it up enough and heal for your 10k. Listen to your son, I think it's good advice. Have you thought of seeing a massage therapist? Maybe they can work out the issues, the one's around here are always running specials. Praying it all works out for you.
  • Awesome, glad you liked it Scott. It's a refreshing change. I like the deal about the tablet thing. One of these days, I probably would want to try to get a bluetooth compatibe HR monitor just so I can feed it live into the app. It would be cool to see the calorie burn during the workout like that.
  • I am about 4.5 hrs away over here in central MD. I like exploring heritage sites when I have the time. Lately, there hasn't been much time to "smell the roses." Work, working out and sleep seem to have a monopoly on my time lately. I've only been to the city of Pittsburgh a few times. I rode the riverboat as both a tour…
  • Yes...I think you all started a day after me. Good work!
  • Ok, so it looks like they rinse and repeat for the week. I started off a bit let down that the weeks repeat, but then I went into the exercise for the day and realized that there are two other modifiers or you can choose to pick up the pace as options. I tried one move with the intermediate and picked up the pace. I burned…
  • And day 9 in the books...almost a third of the way through....WE GOT THIS!!!
  • That's what the Menchie's is here. I took my daughter there that Sunday the boot camp was over. I think I had a bit more calories but I was conservative compared to days past. Hell of a sugar high though!
  • Oops, guess it was only a 5 lb loss. My memory failed me on bootcamp finish at 244. Oh well, still great at 5 lb loss. Great Idea on the preemptive strike. Gratz on the NSV Kristine! Awesome achievement Scott!! I can't reach my toes while sitting either. I think there is a nice blob of fat to lose before I can do that lol!
  • Thank you Debbie...don't give up, you got this! Tomorrow is a new day and start of the week...own it! I never thought of trying that Kristine. I step off and my scale throws a string of 0's then blanks out which I think means it resets. Maybe I'll try the leg thing. I did some research on scales and decided on last week…
  • I'm about to do mine in a bit in conjunction with my recovery yoga session for DB.
  • Wow, you're up early for a weekend day Scott! Perhaps you can just write off the bad food as a reward week. You rewarded yourself for the hard work you've put in finishing the 10 week boot camp and discovering new routines, etc. Just jump back on the wagon and move on. Hopefully the scale isn't too critical. Today is…
  • Yawwwwn...Good Morning y'all. Thank you kindly for the props. Yes, it felt damn good. If that's girly, I'll take it! So, jumped on the scale for my first "after the ranch" weigh in. I made sure to step on it 4 times with a reset of the scale to make sure it was right and had to just smile. 239 was the number I saw, one was…
  • Oh my lord that was brutal doing two challenge days and a hard cardio workout! Scott...ditto on the non-morning person. I used to be when I was in the military. But now, I like the alarm clock not going off until 6:30 and me laying in bed to watch the news and leisurely get ready for work and have some breakfast. Sometimes…
  • I have a win to post! I'm posting a few pics. This is me day after Xmas 2014. I'm on the left and those are my high school buddies who I hadn't seen in over 30 yrs. I was at around 280 lb, that was a big and tall 2XL shirt and 44 jeans that I've streched to a 46 probably and they were still tight! This is part of my family…
  • Progress is progress Christine! You have to remember...I weighed a lot to start! I'm sure it will settle soon. Don't get me wrong, I won't complain if it keeps up 2+ a week! However, I know that can't go on forever. Even with all the weight I have lost, I'm still at 34.7 BMI. I'm still obese according to the experts! You…
  • Sounds like an interesting program Scott. I'll have to check into it. I printed to PDF all the BLBC stuff. Like you, I'm down to 3 staple breakfasts...just because I like them. I haven't really followed the plans much since week 9 of the BLBC. I just keep the unhealthy stuff out of the pantry and fridge. I have a tried a…
  • WTG Hysteria!!! I'm so glad to hear that kind of stuff! Keep the mojo flowing! I'll be doing some labs here next week. I'm anxious to see the progress the past 6 weeks since my last labs. "Leaving the Ranch," Love it! I too, am grateful for the BLBC help me get off the couch and kick start my quest. I've got a new lease on…
  • Right on!
  • Oh man...gotta do two today again! I feel off the exercise wagon yesterday. I decided to go shopping for some clothes. Stuck to my healthy diet though. Everyone at work said my clothes were too big, I already got rid of my saggy drawers (underwear, sorry ladies!) and bought some last week lol. I couldn't believe I fit into…
  • Yeah, the girl scouts haven't set themselves up in front of the Wegmans I shop at. I'm dreading the day they set up. Their Samoas are my kryptonite! Awesome news on the scale Scott! I did reward myself for the end of the BLBC, I took my daughter to the local Menchie's for some damn good frozen yogurt. I stayed somewhat…
  • Holy crap, I need to stop skipping....55 leg lifts was a bear! I made up day 4 and did 5 today. I had to split the leg lifts into 4 sets lol. I agree, it does seem to be a lot of leg lifts to begin. My abs need it though!
