18 days? My advice is stop being impatient. You'll sabotage yourself.

When I had my wisdom teeth pulled, I ate a lot of cream of wheat. It's a hot cereal but very smooth. It's delicious with maple syrup.

The better question is why kids are not taught such simple, vital information in schools.

Starving yourself is not a solution. I'd claw my husband's eyes out and toss them in some marinade on the second day.
-
You know, I said the same thing. Then I lost my balance and fell and went butt first into my husband's toolbox. I wear it now.

Pretty much anything mentioned on the Dr. Oz show.

Yes. Because you're still only traveling for a mile.

My advice on cheat days is don't have cheat days. Or even cheat meals. Just eat what you like within your calories, and stick with it. On days where you do have a little too much, just log it and move on. I find that having a designated day for "cheats" tends to make me feel like I can go overboard, so if I don't ever…

I make a stir-fry that, aside from about 20 calories of Teriyaki sauce and 50 calories of oil, has about 200 calories. It's a huge plate and it's all vegetables, but they still have calories that add up in volume.

Blueberry lady finger cake. High in calories but has a very light, creamy texture. So good and was always a Thanksgiving dessert growing up. 2 (2 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 2 pt. heavy cream 4 pkg. Lady Fingers 1 can blueberry pie filling Soften cream cheese; add sugar and whip cream. Beat until mixture forms peaks. Set aside.…

I eat right before I go to bed every night. Usually a bowl of hot cereal and cocoa. It really helps me sleep. I cannot go to bed hungry.

I add concentrated candy flavorings (like Capella or The Flavor Apprentice) sometimes. They're all calorie free and there's literally hundreds of different flavors. There are all sorts of really great flavors to add to a vanilla or plain powder to make interesting combos. My favorite flavors are cinnamon sugar cookie,…

5000? Pfft. I do more that in one evening at the fair. (2 weeks, Mr. Elephant Ear, you and me have a date.) But it's only once a year. I have about maybe 8-10 days a year I go way overboard, but as long as you even yourself out over the next week or so, it'll be fine.

I did last year tossed with a little bit of oil, some garlic salt and Parmesan cheese. Really good!

I work from home. I take a lunch break around noon or 1:00, and every hour, I try to get up and walk my treadmill for 10 or so minutes, but I can't always do that. I don't have trouble with food on days where i'm busy working, it's on days I don't have work that trouble me, like today, but I do have more time for walking.
-
I started 545 days ago and all I've done is walk. I lost 50 pounds the first 8 months and have kept it off. Food is my main focus and the walking is enjoyable for me because I hate exercise.

Wait....you ate a single peanut butter sandwich that was 1400+ calories? Holy cow. That's my maintenance calories for the day. In one sandwich.
-
coffee w/milk in the morning protein shake mixed with strawberries and blueberries for lunch For dinner last night I had a can of country beef soup and a grilled cheese & ham sandwich and before bed, I had a bowl of hot cereal and a cup of cocoa. Approximately 1300 calories. I am on maintenance and don't weigh things too…
-
No. I went through it and didn't gain any weight. ETA: Except after I got pregnant. Then, obviously, I did.

As someone who has done intermittent fasting all my life before it was a labeled thing, it's truly all about the calories. It's just the way I have always eaten; no breakfast, a very, very light lunch and then dinner. I usually eat everything between about noon to 6:00 or 7:00 and I got pretty fat eating this way. Only…

I'm stuck at the last 10 pounds for the last year and I know what I have to do, it's just my motivation hasn't been there. I've been using MFP M-F and staying under but then the weekend comes and I don't care, so I've been basically maintaining for a year. It's always about calories, so the answer is to eat a little less…

Chinese food takeout. God, it's delicious but give me about 20 minutes after I eat it, and I'm laying on the couch wishing I didn't eat. Another 20 minutes and I want more. LOL

I don't like water, either. If I'm very hot or very thirsty, I can drink it but I can't drink it casually. I have to down it fast and be done. It's just blah.
-
My goal is actually about 5 pounds less than what I want my maintenance weight to be, because I usually gain a few pounds whenever I up my calories to maintenance levels. It's mostly just water that was lost. That's why all these fad diets say you can lose 5 pounds your first week or whatever. It's all water.

Nope. To me, they have a smell that will not go away, and it's not fish. I can't describe it. It's not awful, but not nice either. After rinsing, rinsing, rinsing and boiling 3 times, then dry frying after each rinse and boil, and then cooking with garlic and other spices, they still stank my house up and had the texture…

It's nice to have numbers written down, to be able to see the math, but those are just numbers on a screen and your body will actually show whether your math is correct or not. If you are not losing weight, your numbers are not correct. Even if your diary shows extremely accurate numbers and you're weighing every minuscule…

Diet Mt. Dew. :) I need to try this diet vanilla Dr. Pepper everyone talks about. I like Dr. Pepper kinda, but the vanilla sounds like it might just be awesome.
-
Best time to weigh yourself is first thing in the morning, butt nekkid and after you've used the toilet. :) Worst time of day is in the evening after you've been eating and drinking all day. That weight isn't fat, though, just food and stuff.
-
Yup.

Or drunk. I often ponder if I should eat a cake sandwich when I'm drunk.
