Thank you for the words of encouragement! I suppose many of my concerns stem from my own insecurities. I was always an extroverted type, but still lacked in self-esteem. I got bullied a lot and it took it's toll on me. I don't want that for my girl! I returned to work about a year ago and my work schedule is not the most…

I don't see why ANYBODY has to pay a dime for healthcare to begin with, but that's a different discussion, I suppose.

I try to be in bed by 6, as well...but it's so hard to turn my mind off and my husband gets up for work shortly after that. So it takes me longer than I would like to actually get in to restful sleep.

Confession: thanks to PCOS, I have to shave my face nearly every day.

If you are hungry, eat...just eat stuff that's good for you!

28 also, looking to lose at least 100 pounds overall. Currently sitting around 285...250 is my first goal. I've tried to start many times, but really buckling down this time. I've been on here a lot so feel free to add me! Would love to meet more women around my age who can understand my struggle.

I have managed to stay away this cookie season. You'll survive, just remember...everything in moderation!

So glad to hear that you have lots of solid motivation to help you get on your way...and congrats on that Jamaica trip! I started again recently as well...the reality of "no quick fixes" has set in. We just have to change our lifestyles. We're all in this together!

Cooking is fun and homemade meals are delicious, but something about a big, greasy hamburger and some French fries just calls to me! We eat fast food at least once a week...it's just convenient, and sometimes, cheaper than buying actual groceries. Of course, I'm the only member of my household that can't exercise control.…

I feel like your HEALTH should be the only concern of your spouse. If you are too big/small and it is affecting you medically, that is always a cause for concern. However, there are right and wrong ways to have that type of conversation. If you have just gained a little weight around the holidays, or have yet to lose the…

I work overnights at a convenience store that specializes in fried food, so there is a lot of temptation! It's so nice to just grab something that I don't have to think about. But it is true, they do leave me wanting more, sometimes. I buy one or two meals that Lean Cuisine offers, but not much else. High in protein, low…

Just a bunch of fresh strawberries! They have been on sale at my local grocery store recently, so it's even more of a win. I've also started doing this thing where I will wrap a pickle spear with a slice of cheese and some lunch meat...or just do two of them and call it lunch. A sandwich without the bread!

Starting over...again! 100 is my main goal, as well. We've got this!

100 is my ultimate goal, but taking it slowly. I'm sitting at around 285, would like to get to 250...then go from there.

I have been overweight for most of my life, so there are many things that have happened to me that made me realize I need to lose weight. Still, I had kind of just accepted that I was a fat person and would probably always be that way. Now that I'm older and have a daughter looking up to me, though...my outlook has…

It is torturous that things like chocolate and alcohol can be so high in calories! Not too much of a sweet tooth here (most of the time), but when it is acting up, I like ice cream or a candy bar. Sometimes I'll just have a can of Coke to satiate those cravings without all the fat, even though it has a lot of sugar!
