What helped me was to look back at my old MFP entries and see what I was eating, water intake, excercise, etc... That worked to get me back and focused!
-
What helped me was getting my free T4 at least in the middle of the range and free T3 numbers into the 2/3 of the range; TSH was meaningless as a guide for me.

I just kept logging till I started getting back on track, no matter how high the calories. Took me a good four months but finally back on track after doing well for over 9 months. Just start fresh everyday and pay attention to the emeptipnal reasons you sabatage yourself ... That helped me a lot.

Can you share what the saliva swab test is called?

Foam rolling is my lifesaver!!

I'm 5'3 and eat 1700 calories a day; when I eat 1700 and below I lose 1 pound a week and have for almost a year...when I gain it's bc I get loosy goosey with the calories

My doctor suggested it for me about a year ago when I started on MFP - in the end we opted not to and instead focused on my thyroid medicine; from my circle of friends it's a common prescription for weight loss but I'll be honest I've only seen a few people lose like 3 to 7 pounds over many months.
-
Adrenals might be an option to check too; that along with my thyroid not working was my issue and your symptoms sound like mine did. Good luck!

If I'm smart and actually in control I end up eating something in the opposite direction - pickled vegetables or cucumbers with sprinkling of salt. Getting the salty taste in my mouth kills the desire for sweet almost instantly.
-
I pay attention, just don't stress about it. I also pay attention to all of the numbers, currently I suck with getting fiber in. Just perspective.
-
Another vote for foam rolling or maybe even pull up a yoga cool doe for runners, most will take you through a good stretching routine

I love my Hokas; saved my knees too. Worth every damn dollar!

Convinced my endo to put me on Armour after two years of synthroid and no effect at all on my numbers; it's been magic for me. The most stable year in a long time. If what you are using isn't working, ask for a change!!

I guess I look at it differently, rather then thinking I fell off the wagon I just log it and move on. The less I make myself feel guilty for being human the more I wish to keep moving along in the right direction. Yes the goal is to lose weight, but the emphasis for me is learning new habits to replace what got me in…
-
Also keep in mind - things like new features get rolled out across countries; it's a huge technical obstacle too. I'm sure it will be rolled out, let us Americans get all the glitches fixed!!

I have hypo too, when I'm not medicated correctly I don't lose regardless of CICO when I am medicated correctly I drop according to the effort I put in. I've lost about 20 pounds this year; slow and steady wins the race and I'm ok with that. People on here can disagree with that being hypo doesn't matter, but every human…

Feel free to add me; I eat 1700 to 1900. I've lost almost 16 pounds since May but I have PCOS and thyroid issues so just happy to be going in the right direction. I could eat lower, but no desire. I enjoy food and am okay with the slower weight loss rate. ;)

So what, it worked and that's what she was sharing. If it spurs you in the right direction then WONDERFUL!!!
-
OP said she was still counting calories; impossible to do unless you are somehow measuring. Those cups are just containers; if she's counting calories TOO then she's measuring somehow.
-
Agree with this statement; have fun

Feel free to connect with me, I have about another 20 pounds I'm trying to lose

I don't know, I can see this working in your favor. Between weighing and using the portion sizes for the 21 day fix might be a good way to help teach portion control. It's all about your attitude - if this feels like a good way to go all in, then do it. Don't bother with the naysayers... It's all opinions, as is mine. Good…

Couldn't agree more; it's like pillows for your feet!

Me too!!

Same here. Also realized recently that my petite mother has eaten this way for over 20 years; just what she's always done!

Reasons that I get hungry... Boredom Dehydration Habit Stress Because it's there Rarely is it because I'm hungry. I do also eat good fats, I think that does help. In moderation and within my calorie limits.

I I throw it on top of my salad instead of dressing!

For what it's worth my doctor told me to focus on only gaining 25 pounds, and that I shouldn't have been adding more then 300 extra calories a day. What we did is watch my weight week to week... If I had large gains I was more cautious the following week. I also had to be super clean with eating just out of my own OCD…

For what it's worth I thought I'd share one tip - going from walking to running, look up things related to dynamic stretching before hand and thinks like keeping your plantar fasciitas healthy. Nothing knocks you on your butt faster then severe pain in your legs/heels. You are doing fantastic; great progress!

Enjoy it, think moderation not over indulgence, log it and move on
