  • Well that's the point of hi carb days -- to go over your calories! You should be over maintenance level on those days haha. And I'm not sure if it would make a difference, I lift heavy on high carb days just because I have more energy and can get a better workout in.

  • Protein is protein! What's good for guys will still probably be good for girls too. I use Optimum Whey Gold standard. If you have gluten or milk allergies, I'm pretty sure Isopure whey would be good then. If you are looking for slow digesting protein, then look for casein protein!
