So bloated!

*sigh* almost two weeks ago I returned from a short intercontinental flight trip. After returning I stopped with the pill. Both reasons to always hold onto a bit more water for me, but this time it's really ridiculous. My weight before the trip was 56.8kg, now I'm at 58.4 (slight decrease from after trip/TOM), but I don't fit into trousers anymore that fitted without any problems when I was 60 or 61kg! Before the trip, those trousers were actually too wide. Thus not much of a weight gain but clothes don't fit anymore, neither on my legs, backside, nor on my belly which looks like I'm pregnant and which is really uncomfortable when I'm sitting. When I returned from the trip my belly was still flat, the extreme bloating only came in the last few days. Anyone ever experienced something like this?

I've seen people bloat in an extreme way, but only on their stomach and it was due to an allergic reaction to something they ate (I went with the girl to the doctor as it was so extreme). Weirdly the bloating started out of nowhere and after a few weeks it stopped happening. Could it be a reaction to something you ate?

I think a lot of people have allergic reactions to gluten! Not entirely sure.

No idea. My husband was complaining about feeling bloated as well, a day before I started to feel really bloated, thus there might be something. It's really annoying. No gluten though I'm sure as I eat a lot of carbs/grains and never had any problems with that. The strange thing is that my clothes fit so poorly at the moment, but that's not reflected at all in my weight. On the other hand, the extra water weight gain after the previous flight almost took two weeks to fall off again, and this time with added TOM it might be a bit more annoying. Who knows...

Well, problem solved. Didn't realize I was so constipated as well. Anyway *cough* after getting a diarrhea attack today (ate something wrong) I'm rather dehydrated now, and the big belly is gone. Not the way I would have preferred to return to old me. Oh well :s

I always bloat after flying. If I'm on the plane for an hour, I will bloat. It takes several days to get back to normal. Even a week.

Don't get down about it and let yourself give up. Even if you gained real fat, you can take it off again. Hang on to your patience! :)

Oh don't worry, I know I didn't gain much, if at all. I was too busy during this business trip anyway. But yes, water weight from flying just sticks for a surprisingly long time. Even the ww from a contraceptive break is gone after 2 days, but flying... I can teack all these flights just by looking at my weight graph here ;)

Biggest mistake today: trying to runthis evening despite being dehydrated and the temperature being 40C (107F or so?). I feel miserable!
