@mtaratoot Thanks! In process...see you there.

@mtaratoot I just tried to join this group and I'm not sure my message actually went...? I think it's a great idea and I'm in! (If I could just get in...)

Hey there, thanks for replies! @scoutmom1981 Let's get it done together! If there's something I'm well-versed in, it's beginning again. And yes, today is a new day. @mtaratoot Agreed re weight loss rate. Any "faster" and I get to a point and food storms happen. That said, 1% of 235 isn't a whole lot per week, I'm on track.…

Okay I'm bumping this up...hoping someone replies to me!

Oh I have *so* been there. More than once! So...here’s what I have done (and continue to do): I say to myself “I cannot change what’s been done. I can choose a new path now, having nothing to do with where I’ve been.” Currently I have lost 56 pounds. 35 of those pounds I have gained and lost 3x. But now I feel different.…

Yes!! Thanks and good luck to you!

Thanks everyone! Haha thanks re shoes! I actually wore them a year ago but wow was I miserable. Turns out you also lose weight in your feet. Who knew?? Every time I look at these pics (a lot in the last couple days) I think "OMG I actually have a chin now!" I didn't say this in original post but please friend me if you'd…

A lot of very helpful comments here! To them I'd add: think about the next pound, not the whole amount. Make one small change, do it every day. It's a cliché for a reason: "success breeds success". Good luck! I added you as a friend, hope I can hang out with you on your journey!

Please add me :) The thing is, life happens and for me, maybe for a lot of people, we respond with less-than-ideal eating patterns! I've been through a similar thing, though it was my father's death and the ensuing family chaos. I hope I can be a listening ear for others!

Okay here’s my petty reason: I want to be under 200 so that if I wanted to, I could ride a mule to the bottom of the Grand Canyon! (You have to “make weight”...under 200#) Now I’m not saying I would actually do it, but I want to have the option!! 😀

I'm right there with you. I would like to make this the last time I start over! No 101 for me. Join me???

I *wish* I could not log food/count calories and lose weight! This isn't my first time at the weight-loss rodeo but I want it to be my last. So I continue to count, log, lose and (hopefully) this time, maintain. Good luck to you, OP...do try to learn from my mistakes!

Hey! I'm a past fast-food consumer and I totally get it. It's really addictive for me! If I eat a McDonalds quarter pounder with cheese and fries [my go-to], all I want is to eat more and more. For me I think it's something about the bread and how sweet it is. I'm not sure what will work for you, but what I did was wean…

Thanks everyone! Particularly like cultivating badass warrior woman inside me

I love audio books! Yes they do help get your mind off things... thanks.
-
*nodding* Agreed! Tx

Ah, I feel your pain. I lost, gained and am now almost back to where I was before I went off the rails. (It was election-related!)
-
Hey! Add me, I am on here all the time...:)

Ahhh, thanks everyone for the kind words. So I did not get an apology to my face. Hubby said the mass-pole "felt really bad" and had struggled with weight in the past. What that means I'm not sure. Are we talking 20 pounds or more like me? Unclear. Anyhow, I calmed down and I think mass-pole didn't want to bring it up…

Hmm. MFP substituted *kitten* . Just so it's clear... two syllables rhymes with mass pole.

After the "let's pick a number and anyone over that number should have to pay more" comment I said "I am NOT taking part in this conversation" slammed my phone on the table and muttered "so f**ked up" and went inside to get a glass of water. When I got back the conversation had changed. I think I made my point but it was…

OMG this sounds great (planning grocery shop for mushrooms tomorrow...!)

Mini goal is to get to the 200-teens. I'm at 223 now. Bigger goal is Onederland, haven't been there in 14 years!

I was on a plane this weekend...lots of room on the belt where it used to be *just* closing!
-
Okay! Thanks everyone! Message received...I will definitely reward myself again. And yes stuff like arm band and new workout gear is great. Recommendation for a little bigger workout treat, amtyrell: Bluetooth earbuds! Kenyonhaff, punitive thinking...hmm. will have to ponder that a little bit. I'm not sure I'm…

Hi Fellpony, I'm in! Also 51, this is not my first weight rodeo but I want it to be my last.
-
Yes! I agree...and also drink more water than usual, I believe it helps flush out the "extra"

curvygirly911--I read this whole thread. I'm so glad some people said things that helped you! I applaud your positive attitude and wish you the best! My husband and his family are mostly thin and talk about their weight all the time (not mine, though it's literally like the elephant in the room sometimes) and it makes me…
