I'm new here (kinda)! Looking for new friends!
So I was here before the shutdown in March 2020. Had lost weight, was feeling really good, and then...the pandemic happened, I got Covid before the vaccines, lost taste/smell and when it came back (thankful it did), it was all messed up. The only things that tasted good to me were bread, sugar, salty/fat. Gained 40 pounds.…

July 2018 to July 2019. What a difference a year makes!
About a year ago, I went to a wedding and wore this dress, this scarf, and was seated and a picture was taken. The picture I took yesterday is close to the same attitude but I couldn't get it exactly right with my phone. But here goes... July 2018 - approx 254 lb July 2019 - 198! Onederland! I'm on my way...........

Old to MFP, looking for more friends!
So I'm one of those rollercoaster weight losers. Currently I'm on a quest for Onederland for what I hope is the last time I do this. Feeling great right now, want to reinforce the good habits I've started over the last 6 months. Anyone want to journey with me??? Let's do this!

Feeling stressed....
A few things going on in my life are really getting to me right now. Since food is no longer the go-to stress reliever (at least I'm trying to make that habit permanent!), I'm wondering what *your* favorite non-food stress reliever is. Got my ears on....!

What do you do when friends and family talk about weight?
I mean, talk about how much they weigh, what waist size they are... Here's the story: I lost it last week when I was out at some friends' house and the topic was median weight of men and women in USA. Okay so far, right? Then they started talking about how anyone who weighs more than 175lbs (!) should have to pay extra to…

Rewarding yourself when RE-losing weight?
I'm in the process of re-losing weight I lost last year...and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this thought: Do I reward myself for losing weight when I already rewarded myself for losing it the first time? I'm so happy about the process this time, and feel really healthy but I'm not down to where I was before! Anyone…

I'm back!
Hello MFP folks! Here's my story: I was logging every day for about 8 months, up until last fall. And then...I went on a fabulous vacation, stopped logging and began gaining the weight Inhad lost. So it's now been 8 months and I'm about 25 pounds up from where I was. I resumed old habits of eating ice cream every day (I'm…

What do you do to re-motivate? Me...
I wondered what those size 18 jeans looked like on my body without the 37 pounds on it. Well! The jeans which are stretchy actually looked ok, just a little big. Then I went to take them off and didn't even need to unbutton or unzip! Just slithered right outta those jeans. I've gotten rid of a lot of too-big clothes but…

Losing inches on waist??
Hello everyone, I've been using MFP for almost 4 months now, with success...I've lost 32.5 pounds. YAY! What I don't quite get is why haven't I lost more inches from my waist? Is this just part of being over 50, having had a C-section, what is it? I have lost 2 inches from waist (4 inches from chest and 4 inches from hips)…

Measured myself. Not excited. Thoughts?????
So I finally did it, I measured myself. I weighed myself for the first time 3 weeks ago and have been tracking with MFP since then. *That* was a pretty startling wakeup call, and today's measurements were more so. In a way I wish I had measured myself when I began, but I didn't. Anyone have some words of encouragement for…

Almost 50 and changing!!
Hi all, I had that very familiar experience (at least I imagine it is!) of getting on the scale after months and months of ostrich behavior. What I saw was a real wake up call! 248.5, 30 pounds up from 2 years ago when I got frustrated with a very long plateau on weight watchers. At that time, thought "oh I can just…
