  • Hi ladies, new here. CW: 16st 4lbs GW: 8st 7lbs Actually just aiming to be half a stone down at the moment! I'm currently the heaviest I've ever been and I think it's making a noticeable effect on my health and energy levels for the first time ever. I've been able to cope with living in a bigger body until now but lately…
  • I go for beans - chickpea, cannelini, back beans, kidney beans, etc. Any of the vegan meat substitutes are usually ok for some protein. I like the alpro yogurts too, the greek one is pretty versatile for snacking on its own, adding to fruit, I use it in dressings/marinades.
  • I recently became obsessed with three bean salads - lettuce, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and sweetcorn topped with a mix of chickpeas, cannelini and black beans. I was cycling through different salad dressings when I tried salad cream for a chance one day. Game changer! Love this version. I'm eating a veggie chicken, cherry…
  • I hop on the scales daily but only log my Saturday morning weight. Seeing how my weight fluctuates day to day helps me focus more on the general trends rather than fixating on a static number (because it's never going to stay static!)
  • If I tell him I'm struggling he will help me by default. I think my posts have been pretty clear that I'm not going to demand or force him to change anything.
  • Thank you so much everyone for your reasoned and well thought out replies! I was fearing a bit of a bashing tbh. We have an excellent partnership and can be totally honest with each other so me speaking up is not a problem. I haven’t so far because I didn’t want to come across as weird and controlling around food but it’s…
  • Thank you for the suggestions! I like the sound of the bean salad, definitely going to add that one to the list this week.
  • Just bought new scales and found out I'm 6lbs heavier than I thought! Which has wiped out my 6lbs loss since I started a month ago (I know not really, I've still lost it). So feeling back to square one, but motivated that if I did it once I can do it again. So my mini goal is to ditch that half a stone!
  • I'm not sure any are low cal, but: San Pellegrino Appletiser Schloer Belvoir (especially the raspberry lemonade flavour - they do a sugar free version too which I imagine is less calories)
  • My overall weight loss goals seem to big to consider as a whole, so I'm breaking it down to half stone increments so I don't feel overwhelmed. First half gone, many more to come but I feel rejuvenated and ready to go again instead of discouraged by the long road ahead.
  • That all sounds delicious, thanks for the inspiration! The chickpea burgers sound very similar to Jack Monroe's carrot and kidney bean burgers which are a fave of mine.
  • Where the hell do you all live that the summer is so hot. I'm looking forward to t-shirt weather. Lazy days in our new conservatory. Barbecues and garden parties. Music festivals. Getting a dog <3 And going on lots of walks/hikes with said dog.
  • At a festival a few years ago there was a guy in a neon green borat mankini and one of those long akatuski coats from naruto. Pretty sure that was all he wore all weekend.
  • Oh no th_wht_rbbt, it says the video is unavailable :( https://youtu.be/dF16_JRFC08 I've had this on repeat for weeks now, love that chorus.
  • Yes everything is a vegetarian version - I just use 'sausage' or 'chicken' or whatever as shorthand when I'm typing my own meals out, tried to clarify them for the post here but must have missed some, sorry for the confusion!
  • Calorie wise it's pretty much under every single day, it generally leaves loads of room but I can't be trusted with that much room for snacking. I think you're right that protein is probably a weak spot which I'll need to figure out how to increase in my meals.
  • Hello, Thanks for your reply! Yes in theory I want to lose weight but I'm not particularly good at it, hence getting back on the wagon with planning my meals. I haven't actually counted the calories for this particular week yet but I'm fairly certain the meals themselves will fall within my calorie goals; it's snacking…
  • Thank you both for your replies!
  • Honestly, I don't, and idgaf. It's a russian roulette whether it's a week of pure hell or just extremely difficult and I never know which is coming. If I eat too many chocolate or sweets quite frankly it's the least of my concerns at that point in time. I am aware I'm outside of the average experience though.
