  • My apologies for the tardy reply Wanzik, I do not log on over the weekend. So, to answer your question as you refer to autism. As the other poster stated, the claim is absolutely bogus. Andrew Wakefield lied, plain and simple. His study was retracted and his medical license was pulled. Unfortunately his lies were picked up…
  • As a healthcare worker you should know that any vaccine could potentially lead to GB, it is right there in the literature for every single vaccine out there. Additionally, as a healthcare worker, you should also be fully educated to the fact that simply being infected by such viruses as enteroviruses, arboviruses,…
  • Yes, I understand it is a public forum which gives them the right to post whatever, whenever, where ever. However, I also understand how to act in an adult and respectable manner, hence my analogy to the Starbucks which is just as much a public forum. The point being that just because you have the freedom to run your mouth…
  • You both hate snakes and yet you both, of your own free will, chose to visit a thread titled "Snakes"... Then you just had to go out of your way to tell everyone how much you hate snakes. And then you continue to return to the snake thread and fill two pages with inane chatter... ??? If you do not like snakes, fine, that…
  • Been a while... Here is how my hatchling season has progressed so far (still have two clutches that need to shed out and one last batch of eggs too)
  • First clutch all out: Two Black-eyed Leucistic, one SuperFly Yellowbelly, one SuperFly, one FireFly, and one Yellowbelly

  • Well, my ball python hatching season has officially begun: A pure white SuperFire, aka Black-eyed Leucistic. This girl is also possibly Pastel, possibly SuperPastel, and possibly Yellowbelly. Given she if 100% white, I am thinking she probably has at least one of the other morphs in her

  • So... This weekend proven an eventful one for me. Went into the snake room to feed and out of the corner of my eye I noticed something was off in my egg-eater tank. When I turned my full attention to it I discovered that rather than there being just the one adult snake in there, there was an adult snake and three babies!!…

  • @jader8993 If you do go for a boa I advocate doing a bit of research on the species/subspecies before picking one up, some of them can get pretty large and it is best to know what you are getting into before hand rather than being unpleasantly surprised a couple years down the road LOL I love that defensive position, all…

  • Worth noting, HepC, like HIV, is transmissible via any body fluid so yes it can be spread by saliva. The incidence rate is significantly lower than blood and sexual transmission but it most certainly is not zero.
  • Nice... That king is quite impressive

  • Yeah, there are a lot of bitter people out there but I certainly am not one of them. As you say, there are crappy people on both sides. But there are also good people on both sides too, just have to work myself up to the point were I can locate one of them, I appreciate your sentiment. Hopefully one day you will see me…
  • Well, when you decide to bite the bullet drop me a line and I will try to point you to a reputable breeder in your area

  • Well, I managed to do it. Bought a ton of supplies and tank decor but no animals... Not that my kid did not try her damnedest to acquire another hognose and a new species of gecko but I convinced her that with all the eggs on the ground and on the way that we had our hands more than full enough

  • Bah! Do not feel bad for me. Sure it kinda sucks, but, like anything else in life, it is just a hurdle to clear. Day at a time, step at a time, get myself back together, get a little confidence and start trying to make new lady friends and see where life takes me.
  • I have been celibate since my (now) ex walked out on me. So just shy of three years now with the separation and divorce and the year since that was final... Cannot say it is fully voluntary. As a single, working father with full custody I do not exactly have a ton of time on my hands to go out looking. Even if I did, I am…
  • ReptiCon this weekend... My goal is to make it home without a new animal in tow LOL

  • Clutch #2 on the ground as of this morning: PhantomPin x Mochi She was really not happy to see me and tried to take off (hence the only partial body shot of her.) Made it easier collecting the eggs though, I hate it when they decide to fight you for them; angry mommy snakes can deliver quite the wallop.

  • I am in agreement with you there. I believe tighter regulation need to apply in many cases (amphibians because of chytrid, anything dangerously venomous, etc.) My issue is when the regulations become too over-reaching.

  • There was no trick there other than calling out the trick that is being played on everyone else. I am not justifying the problem. I openly acknowledge that the Burms are a problem... A south Florida problem. And there were/are laws/regulations in effect in FL about owning Burms. So why then was it necessary to enact…

  • @DrEnalg I have yet to figure out how to operate the PM system here (every time I try I get an error message). I am certainly open to any advice you might have As for dating sites... A couple of the ladies I work with have been on my *kitten* about that as well and I finally broke down and made a profile on one. So far I…
  • As others have said, I treat them like any other pet. I handle them, I feed them and all that jazz. Plus, sometimes I like to just sit and watch them, I am sure many do not understand but they really are fascinating creatures. Additionally, with the ball pythons especially, there is the breeding end. Again, I do not expect…

  • Yes, Hurricane Andrew did result in the release of Burms and, yes, they are an invasive species there because of it and, yes, absolutely invasive species are not good... That said, you need to do a bit of fact checking before damning us herpers. The "major problem" of snakes in the Everglade is absurdly conflated by the…

  • I can certainly identify I will be one year divorced come this Saturday, had two years of rather arduous separation before that. And, thankfully, I have full custody of my kid because my ex is in no way fit to be a parent. I envy you that you have yourself a nice lady now, I have not yet gotten up the gumption to re-enter…
  • Guess I am the odd man out here, eschewing the warm fuzzy creatures... Here are a few denizens of my menagerie
