  • Let's Train
  • From the Apple website: "Active calories for Other workouts are estimated at a rate equivalent to a brisk walk or based on data recorded by the heart rate sensor, whichever is higher". So the weight lifting calculations are probably off by quite a bit since it takes whichever would be higher and I don't know about you but…
  • Do you just buy box Angel Food Cake mix and add protein powder?
  • Can't tell if you're being funny or if you took my comment literally. But just in case...I obviously don't literally mean "kill you". It was in reference to "killing" your calories for the day.
  • I've ordered 3 boxes from Hello Fresh and it's been hit or miss. My first box was good and I loved it. However, ym next 2 had spoiled ingredients or bad quality meat (the steak was so chewy you couldn't eat it and the chicken pack had a hole in it). They offered me a discount on my next box both times and I don't think…
  • Simply don't buy snacks that aren't healthy. If you just enjoy late night snacking that's fine, but buy things that won't kill you. Like baby carrots (no ranch), blueberries, raspberries, clementines, etc. Or if you really want a snack that isn't the best for you, pre-portion it out into ziploc bags so you aren't just…
  • Yes! Tortillas make me so mad. They're supposed to be less calories than bread, but nooooooo. This is why I don't use the tortillas when I get fajitas at mexcian restuarants.
  • Hamburger Helper immediately came to mind. This was probably the biggest "unhealthy" meal my mom used to make. I actually love it but haven't eaten it in years because I know how bad it is.
  • My family is super supportive of me being healthy and losing weight. My mom is small and a medical professional so I think that helps. My dad is overweight and not in denial so my losing weight doesn't threaten him lol. My husband is super healthy and active so he's insanely proud. Now my husband's family and some of our…
  • Both. If I'm trying to break a bad habit I will "deprive" myself. Once I no longer feel like I NEED those things, I add them back in and I'm able to control my portions much easier.
  • I'm boring and simply like lemon water
  • I would love to workout in the morning, but I wake up at 5:30 with barely enough time to get dressed and put on minimal makeup so working out in the morning would mean I'd have to get up at like 4am. Not happening. So I workout as soon as I get home (between 4 and 4:30).
  • I love my Apple Watch. I've never owned a Fitbit but my husband did and it stopped working shortly after we bought it. I like the watch because it's not JUST a fitness tracker. It's a fitness tracker, watch, can connect to apps, make phone calls, and texts. I only have the Series 1 but I'm trying to upgrade to the Series 3…
  • I classify it as a "healthy" food because most people use it in place of other dips like ranch, etc. I realized that I'd rather just each my veggies plain or use a tiny amount of ranch rather than suffer through hummus. Obviously if you're eating a ton of it, it will no longer be healthy lol The chia seeds are super tiny…
  • 1. Avocado toast: half a medium avocado, 1 slice of Ezekiel bread, lemon juice (I cut mine in quarters), and pepper on top. I roughly mix the avocado and lemon juice so it's a chuncy spread. I also eat some type of fruit on the side. 2. Stuffed mushrooms: portabella mushrooms cap baked in the oven until soft. Vegan sausage…
  • Chia seeds (texture is gross), hummus (I've tried it like 4 times, suffered through it each time), and Kombucha (taste like vinegar) are the big ones for me
  • My husband and I have never told the other person that they're fat. We have, however, encouraged each other to "do better". If I'm being lazy or slacking on my eating habits, he'll throw out a comment like "are you sure you want to skip working out, it's only 30 minutes?" or "are you sure you want those cookies, you said…
  • Mostly 7 days a week. I always tell myself to take off Sundays but I usually end up doing something that day. Normally it's just some strength training for 30 minutes but I just like to get in a little something.
  • Kind of OT but Golytely is one of the most disgusting things I've ever had to drink. I got admitted to the hospital for Crohn's and they tried to force that on me. Took one sip and straight up refused. Thank god my gastro tells his patients to mix Miralax with Gatorade. Same end result, dosn't taste like you're trying to…
  • Just slowly start using less and less creamer. Cut it down by 1 tablespoon and go a week drinking it that way. Keep cutting it by 1 tbsp until you get to the point where you're only adding 1 or 2 per cup (or black if you can make it that far). Also, consider cutting your coffee intake to no more than 2 cups (8oz) a day.
  • I used to feel the same way about my running pace (5mph). In fact, there are still times where I feel insecure about it when my husband is running at like 8mph but I remind myself that I'm doing cardio and being healthier and that's what really matters.
  • I meal prep on Sundays. I've been eating avocado toast so not much to prep since I don't like to slice my avocados too far in advance. For my lunches and snacks I make everything at once. I just searched "meal prep" on Pinterest and went to town pinning a bunch of recipes. You can also search YouTube and find meal prep…
  • Nothing special about it. People just reach for it for weight loss because it's easy and filling.

  • The only way I can control my "dessert" cravings is to set a goal for myself. Whether it be 30 days no desserts, only desserts on Saturdays, etc. Sweets are my weakness and I really don't have the willpower to hold back unless I have a goal/challenge. I know I can just allow for a small amount each day but I know myself…
  • LOL! Well maybe I'll stick with the buttermilk ones and just add in a few dark chocolate chips as a weekend treat.
  • Are those pancakes pretty good? I've been wanting to try them for a weekend breakfast and to get in my chocolate fix.
  • I meal prep my lunches for the week on Sundays which really makes my life easier! I just searched "meal prep" on Pinterest and found a bunch of recipes and sites that have great ideas. Some of my favorites are chicken meatballs with zucchini noodle spaghetti, greek chicken bowls, and shrimp taco bowls. Here's the link to…
  • I love the Under Armor Tech Tank from Kohls.
  • 1 slice of Ezekiel bread with half an avocado (squeeze of lemon juice and pepper on top) with 1/2 cup of blueberries. If I'm lazy, I eat 1 packet of Think Thin oatmeal. I also have 1 cup of coffee with 2 tbsp of vanilla creamer.
  • Most treadmills are designed to absorb the shock of you pounding while running. My husband actually filmed me running on the treadmill once to show just how much it absorbs. The ground has zero give and can cause a good amount of trauma to the knees which is why I only run outside on perfect weather days.
