  • All I noticed on keto was an end do inflammation , and better health.
  • I find that if I drink ACV with salt, it helps with the growls
  • I try to stay under 50g Carbs, and do mostly 20/4, but sometimes if something is going on I will do 16/8. Then if I am in a situation where eating with people, ie weekends away , I will just stay low carb.
  • just joined this group,
  • Turnips/ swede will deep fry and can look like chips! Doesnt taste like the usual but It works for me! God now I want chips and vinegar !
  • Yeay for you, glad your pain free, and that you feel well enough to bounce back to lchf, have a great journey. That 8lbs woosh is still nice even though you know it's water it is still nice that it is gone.
  • you know this way of dieting has always been there, just the big companies with their low fat products helped to convince people that low fat was the way to go. Back in the late 60s my brother had to lose a large amount of weight, ( to join the police force he had to be at least 14lbs lighter than he was) he was young and…
  • Signed, thanks for the link.
  • Did you try getting gel nails, they are longer and tougher, and they look so great you won't want to bite them, plus they don't feel the same in your mouth. Just an idea, until you get out of the habit of putting your nails in your mouth.
  • hope you had a great vacation. I think 6lbs is fairly good, to be honest. I can gain that in week if I eat carbs. Being on vacation and drinking coctails, eating lots of fruits and just not being careful I expect to gain a lot more,. Lol. I will try and restrict carbs, but no way am I going to not eat all those banannas ,…
  • I had the same worry, but if you stick to the plan , yup the weight falls off. However I find when you have less to lose you won't get those massive wooshs that you read about, but still a great weight loss plan that for me seems to be working more consistantly than any other method I have used before. Great to have a diet…
  • I am lucky in that all the red meat I eat is ~Grassfed. Our Cattle here in Ireland are only housed in winter if it is very severe and as it isn't they spend most of their time outside, and will get some grains but it isn't like the intense over feeding that happens in bigger countries in Europe or in the USA, our beef and…
  • crispbread, or something like that, eating cream cheese on cucumber is getting a little boring.
  • I would go insane eating the same stuff all the time, I need to change things about to keep it interesting, otherwise I would fail. Keeping under 15g of carbs a day is hard when I try and add some sort of veg once a day, but I manage to do it most of the time. Different strokes for different folks, but I don't think…
  • Have you tried making your own? if you use splenda when making the custard, it should be keto friendly, as it is just eggs and cream and splenda, when the custard is cool you add some whipped cream, and if you have fruit you can add a little, but rasberries or strawberries are lower.... so ice cream should be possible?…
  • I am finding it hard to stay on track too, might help kick me back into the system.
  • I have the link saved to favourites so next time my friends tell me they lost x amount I will be able to tell them what they lost........ I only lost 8lbs , and was told in science class that a human head on average was 12lbs, so I must have only lost a small humans head. I say that to friends when they complain about slow…
  • I was amazed today listening to the radio, and the health section had a doctor, and two other people,( missed their qualifications) on promoting the keto diet. They were explaining that far too many have fallen into the trap of low fat, that fat is GOOD, that the evil substance is sugar and it's hidden everywhere . They…
  • Has anyone else just put in random weights to see what each weight loss is?
  • I lost a human head......... ha ha, I think it's mine. . a moped is very impressive
  • Happy Birthday, what a joy to go flying into your 40s rather than drag yourself in.
  • he should have logged on here, he wouldn't have failed, and he would have seen how many people have had fantastic results, with heart problems and weight problems, and so many other problems
  • oooh mine is just vanity, I have been gaining pounds for quite a while, doing yo yo dieting, and getting unfit. I am no spring chicken so time to get my act together. Also I am 30 years married next june and am going to the carribean so want to look better for that.

  • Are you still below 20 @daylitemag , or did you increase as you lost your weight? I am wondering will I have to stay this low for a very long period, because I love veg and it is hard to keep below 20 and able to eat the veg I like. ( silly things have more carbs than I thought)
  • Even here on this side of the atlantic the ol carbs are a staple too. For example yorkshire pudding which is served with roast beef, was a pancake type batter cooked in the fat of the meat, ( thus giving it the flavour of the meat) and served to fill the bellies of the hard working men of yorkshire.
  • Great post, and it will help me to stay away from the scales,
  • Try asking for a virgin Irish coffee with no sugar? maybe they will cop on the type of cream you want. Mind you without the whiskey it's not an irish coffee, but still. Here in Ireland I notice things like zoodles for sale, just spotted them in Tesco here in rural Ireland last weekend. I have just sent off for a spiraliser…
