I walk/run alone at a local park that has a wooded trail - usually during the day but there aren't many other people around... I might see 3 or 4 others. I keep my .380 under my fitbelt at all times. Maybe not so much for would-be attackers, but there have been reports of bear sightings & such. Gives me peace of mind.

I'm in! Could definitely use some tips! I plan on cooking 2 healthy side dishes so I'll have some options. I gotta admit, though... turkey, dressing, and cranberry sauce is my JAM!

Whole wheat toast, 1 Tb. coconut almond butter, 1 banana sliced, chia seeds sprinkled on top. Mmmmm good!

I'm a huge bean burrito fan, too. One local restaurant here does a black bean burrito with sauteed onions and peppers that is to die for :smile: Maybe you could ask for a taco salad but scrap the meat for some black beans (minus shell, cheese, and sour cream)? That, with lettuce, guac, pico, and salsa would be YUMM-O!

You're absolutely right - it should be so simple! Luckily I love healthy foods so I don't really struggle with that - now making time for exercise? Yeah.... working on that one.

Avocado, hummus, almond butter, olives (esp. the coconut kind - YUMMO). Gah, all my faves but I have to really watch the portioning on them. Cause I could seriously eat my weight in all of them and not bat an eye LOL

Ever tried kombucha? It's not sweet like soda (kindof a tart/sweet flavor) but has that fizzy pop that could satisfy your cravings. I'm hooked on the stuff :smile:

Hi Amber! Fellow junk food junkie here. Actually it's more of a love/hate relationship. Love how it tastes, hate how it makes me feel. LOL Having to reset that internal taste gauge from yummy + gross to yummy + healthy. ;)

I just recently got back on the horse. Kinda like you, went through a long stressful period, gained about 20 lbs, felt like crap, tired all the time, pants getting too snug O_o. It may be silly, but something that helped motivate me is browsing through Pinterest for health & fitness related stuff, nutritious foods, etc.…
