Well here's a three month update, I'm down 16 pounds, wow!!! It's coming off faster than it did four years ago when I was premenopausal so so much for that myth. I contribute a great deal of success to MFP and my new Fit bit which I started using two months ago, it really helps you keep control over your total calories in…

Wow this is the group I've been looking for. I posted a discussion last month terrified that after gaining back a bunch of weight I lost premenopause that I wouldn't be able to lose it postmenopause-I'm 57 and gained almost20 pounds back in 8 months of non-tracking. It comes back soooo fast. I've been tracking faithfully…

35.3/60. Leslie 30 minute video followed by 20 min Pilates

I was looking forward to mile 5 - the abs one but it really was just a regular WATP mile - she just recommended you think about the abs while doing the workout, so that was a bit disappointing but I thought overall it was a great workout particularly mile 3 - the cardio one which has you boosting was the toughest IMHO

33.3/60 Did Leslies 5 megamiles today - couldn't figure out how to select the miles and create a customized workout like you can do with the four mile video so I ended up doing all 5

Hi, I'm excited to join this group! I just did a WAP 30 minute walk - I love Leslie Sansone and now that I can get her walks On Demand - it makes it so much easier than getting them on the DVD through my Playstation. I'm going to set my goal at 60 miles for the month. 2 down, 58 to go

Great advice, I'll start doing only weekly weigh-ins (and btw, I did see a 1.1 pound loss this morning)! Wheww!!

I agree with this. I'm 52, 5'8" and eating 1800 calories a day (plus exercise calories, definitely) and I'm finally losing. It seemed to take forever to kick in. I do not have much to lose, about 8 pounds. I'm down 6 lbs. It's taken several months - so speed is not on my side, but I also don't want to cut my calories down…

Wow thanks for all the encouragement. I was just at a bookclub lunch meeting at my job earlier and all of us are post menopausal and heard similar tales (they're all nurses, I'm a social worker so they have a more medical/physiological take on this than I). They too have lost and maintained but like you've all said it…

Thanks great advice. I'm up 18 pounds over the past two years so I have about 20 to lose which is alot for a 5'2" woman but I think what you said makes sense. I suppose I also could be retaining water and should (not should definitely) cut down my salt intake - I'm a salt addict.
