I started at 343 about 3 weeks ago, and am down 13 lbs.

Hi Jessica, Firstly, well done to you for deciding to make a change for the better in life. I wish I had done the same when I was 18 on reflection. You're at a good age to lose that weight quickly if you do all the right things. Good luck!

From South London, 1 stone down and a loooong way to go!

You're not alone. I was at a gym class about 6 months ago, and it was a Boxfit class, which I've actually been doing for about 5 years on and off so I knew what I was doing. Anyway, I hadn't been in a few months and this random guy comes up to me and says "You're going to struggle today. You're going to hate this". I had…

Even in that 5% 'interval' rest time I'd be walking around with my heart pounding waiting to continue. Would I be right in saying they're only useful for…

OK, how about classes that don't use equipment (circuit training or boxing) - would the HRM still be able to give accurate readings of calories burned even though they aren't solely step based?

My office is based in Central London so there are always things to look around and see - its just that there are always places to eat which aren't always healthy either!

Sure, feel free to add!

I'm 6 feet 3. Getting to 17 stone is my first target, as it is what I used to be when I was in my late teens and when I was last relatively happy with how I looked. Once I come to that bridge I'll look at setting another goal. One step at a time though.
