I think the wearable tech is great. My Microsoft Band is helping me with the "get up and move" change because I have an app for it that makes it vibrate and scroll a little reminder. Otherwise it's too easy to lose myself in my work, or even in being sedentary in front of the TV. I watch almost everything on DVR, Hulu or…

These are great! I totally need to add the increased water to my daily routine. I'm very bad about staying hydrated, and I get ophthalmic migraines if I let it go to an extreme.

I'm conflicted. Part of me says those Oreos are a must have and the other part is rolling its eyes and saying the red velvet cake craze has officially jumped the shark.

How's everyone doing today? July is just around the corner!

My dog makes sure I don't sit around for too long. Only problem is he doesn't lost as long in the summer heat now. In moderate weather he'll walk with me forever!

I had a Basis Peak and like it a lot (enjoyed locking the daily habits) but it was bulky and wonky about syncing. It just died recently so I got a Microsoft Band. I know it's an also-ran, but its features are amazing and I don't find it as uncomfortable as people say, probably because I'm used to the giant Peak. I actually…

Find something positive to focus on. I know how hard it is to lose fur kids. It hurts to the core of your heart. Instead of food, choose to think about five of the best memories of your time together.

Gearing up to go for 10,000 today. I plan a nice walk to the park in the evening when things cool down.

My goal on my new Microsoft band is 5,000 but maybe jumping in here would motive me to do more. I know I really need to do 10,000. Would love to join in and see if peer pressure will keep me moving more.

I'm in too if you don't mind. I'm new here and would love any and all support to stay on track in July, and I'm happy to support others. I work at home so I'm sedentary, but I just got a Microsoft Band with apps to remind me to get off my butt. I plan to exercise every day, with five strenuous and two using gentle options…

These sound like a bunch of low self esteem losers who build themselves up by cutting down others. Don't let them affect you. They can't interfere with your own healthy activities unless you allow it. Complain, but also tune them out or choose how to react to them. Instead of letting them make you feel bad, choose to feel…

Hello all! It's great to see others who work at home here. I love it but it has special challenges. Rushfive, thanks for the warning. I could just see myself running down to the fridge! I hope to do little physical activities like water the garden or clean the counters when I get my reminders. Double benefit!…

I just did a bunch of research and ended up with the band, and I didn't find any others in the up to $250 price range that do temp.

Thanks! How do you like it? I see so many good reviews but also some people saying that it doesn't hold up well over time. I discovered the apps yesterday, and then really went crazy when I saw the ones for Windows phones. I have a spare line on my cell plan, so I'm going to pick up a $50 Windows phone to use for band…

Wow, go you! Very impressive.

I'm new here and would love to pair up with others because I've already started exercising and I think having partners is so helpful to stay on track. Want to be accountability buddies for the walking and maybe C25K too? I plan to start the running as soon as I get a foot issue under control. I have many DVDs too so I'm up…

I posted a similar thread myself, but I can tell you what not to get. I had a Basis Peak and loved its functions but had constant problems to sync it. I left it on the charger 48 hours and that seems to have killed it. I've never before had a device that was hurt by leaving it on a charger. I don't know if you care about…
