Thanks for all the help guys. I'm not new to fitness or lifting in general, but it was always under trainers and coaches. The "20lbs in 4 months" thing was kind of just some random numbers thrown out haha looks like I'll do a long clean bulk with some heavy lifts.
-
Great link! I'm definitely ready for a bulk. I'm no stranger to working out, but this will be my first time doing it alone. Thanks for your input :)
-
I often eat below 1200 calories. I'm already fairly small though and don't struggle to stay at a low caloric intake.
-
Feel free to add me!

I understand what you're saying. I've just been consistently weighing 124 every day, expect the first day, that I began maintenance. The "trends and averages" show me as having gained 2lbs.
-
It probably isn't my maintenance. That's why I'm messing around and trying new things each week until I narrow it down. If you have a suggestion other than what I'm doing, I'd love to hear it. But I gained (maybe only water) weight eating 1500 calories so this is the next step. If my weight drops again, and isn't clearly…

This looks awesome but I don't have a wifi scale...ugh!
-
I weight myself just about every day, although I'm trying to cut back to every other day. I'm lowering to around 1400 so hopefully that'll help. And yes, I use a digital food scale. All food input is as accurate as I can make them or an overestimate. I'm not someone who will lie to myself about intake. I'd rather see…

I do :)

Glad you've decided to start again with concrete goals! Remember, this shouldn't just be a "lose 30lbs for vacation" thing. It's a lifelong lifestyle change for the better!
-
I'm a college student as well. It's actually a lot cheaper buying items in bulk and learning how to shop based on local sales. I'm able to eat comfortably on $30 per week, and that's with getting some of the brand name stuff!
-
As others have said, if you look at this like a chore, you won't succeed. This is a lifestyle change that you should be prepared to commit to for YEARS, not just until you get where you want. It won't help you if you get to your goal weight then immediately restart the habits that got you to this point in the first place.…
-
Exactly. It might have just been a computer error. Check in at weight goals and make sure they're still what you input.
-
Success or failure is in your hands! If you want it, you'll find a way to do it. If you don't, you'll make excuses. You can do this, you just have to decide to! :)
-
Congrats! Keep up the good work. 7lbs is a lot so don't think of it as a failure if you don't lose that much next week.
-
Just curious, how are you doing a 30 day juice fast? Aren't you missing out on protein and fiber?
-
:)

Good for you! Make the changes in your life that will get you to a happy and healthier self  I've added you, and anyone else commenting, feel free to add me also!

I like you too!!! We need to make a club!

I like you.

rawhidenadz has it exactly right. It doesn't matter how much you workout if you're eating too much. Keep an accurate count for a week, be very exact, then see how your weight changes. Adjust calorie intake accordingly.
-
I have an open diary! Although I'm kind of new so there isn't much to snoop yet.
-
Part of the change that comes from doing this is learning how to motivate yourself! I'd be happy to be friends and hopefully me being on track will help you, but if you don't want it enough to give it your all, a message in the morning won't help.
-
I could use some too!!
