Thanks for all your suggestions. I did eat chicken, but recently have not been enjoying it, the taste and texture. I'm going to try some faux chicken pieces and other vegetarian options like this. I am trying to give up eggs too, but cannot give up cheese, I already add a small amount to my salads. I'll hopefully get…

I do love chickpeas and beans, just not cold. For some reason I don't like the texture when cold.

Agreed I think oats are the same, unless other things are added by the manufacturer. I'd rather add my own ingredients like banana, berries, nuts, flaxseed, honey etc
-
I very rarely eat red meat. I substitute red meat for a vegetarian options like quorn mince or meatfree meat balls.

Did you add the values yourself or pick from the database?

I always like to save a couple of hundred calories just in case I get hungry on an evening so can often come under. I'd much rather be under than over in calories.

1 banana strawberries blueberries almond milk flaxseed spinach (can't even taste it)

Very much so. I get a lot of ideas from people on here and Youtube. I'm even loving foods I used to hate like nuts.

I still love adding mayonnaise to my salads, but opt for a low fat one instead and make sure to count it in my calorie intake. Nothing wrong with lots of salad dressing a long as you account for it.

I'm similar, I can't seem to get the balance right, I'm good a losing weight and eating healthy, or gaining weight by binging and eating unhealthy, but can't seem to maintain my weight eating normally. I think this is because most of my life I've either been trying to lose weight or not caring and pigging out without…

What are you having problems with? carbs, fat, sugar. What are they set at? can you give us more info or make your food diary public so we can see what you're eating.

Almond butter, I hate peanuts.

I think that number is complete calories burned, not just from exercise, but for 24hrs.

It's not just added sugar that does damage. You can't eat as much natural sugar as you want, sugar is still sugar. Excessive amounts of sugar could lead to tooth decay, weight gain, and increased triglyceride levels (which may contribute to heart disease and high cholesterol) even from fruits.

If you take iron tablets in the AM make sure you don't have caffeine, calcium or fortified cereals with them or close to taking them as they inhibit absorption.

I portion out my fruit then put into bags so I have them all ready for when I want one.

Too much salt can cause high blood pressure, increasing your risk of stroke and heart attack. If this diet is long term and you're a LOT over the recommended I'd try to lower it, or at least have some days when it's lower.

I add all my own foods rather than using the database and add them privately so no one can change them.

Tofu, quorn mince, eggs, nuts, beans, chickpeas, quinoa, cheese.

I eat bread most days and have done in the past and lost weight. It's not bread that made me put on weight it was cakes and chips and being lazy. Just pick a healthier bread like wholewheat rather than white bread.

I track everything I eat.

Maybe could you make your food diary public so we can see what you're eating.

I get migraines occasionally and still don't know what triggers them. I eat the same foods a lot so I know it's not any food I eat.
-
I always save calories for the evening as I know I'll get peckish for a snack. I have toast with almond butter, or boiled egg with bread, oat cakes with almond butter, a small sandwich, maybe make your own healthy pizza, or make your own ice cream with frozen banana cacao and other fruits and nuts.

Tofu & sweet potato salad

What about if you're not building muscle and your exercise consists of walking. How much protein then? For example my body weight is 210lbs x 0.75g of protein would be 157.5g of protein. I'm eating about 50-60g a day.
