@br3adman Whether you're correct or not, the above videos have the facts, with supporting evidence. Not just anecdotal hearsay.

It takes about 15 minutes to start digesting. If you inhale a plate prior to that time limit, you're more likely to grab that second plate. In regards to your question, there are two things you can do. Weigh your food, so you are accurately logging what you're eating, and use a smaller plate. https://youtu.be/Lfdvjlm1V7k…

When tracking your food, make sure you're using a food scale. If you don't have one, you can pick one up pretty cheap on Amazon. I think you should stick to cardio or strength training in one session. Don't try to do both. I personally train like this Sunday - Cardio Monday - Strength / BJJ Tuesday - Cardio / BJJ Wednesday…

Are you stretching your hip flexors and adductors? Foam rolling? Try spending 5-10 minutes stretching prior to your workout, and a bit more before you go to bed.

@GreenTeaPotato incorrect.

I guarantee no one is getting all the vitamins that they should be getting daily, through just food. Eat what you normally eat, and then go get your blood work checked. I think you'd be surprised.

I enjoy playing Dungeons & Dragons, have read the vast majority of Star Wars novels, used to stream video games, and will probably be going to next year's Comic Con as Riddick. Do I count?

Do you need to lose it for a couple of hours or permanently? Because if you mean permanent, then you're not being realistic.

@BasicGreatGuy Sorry, I don't take white knights who have a corny love quotes as their fitness motto on their profile, serious. Have a great day.
-
@BasicGreatGuy What a fantastic name for a white knight. Don't quote me next time, thanks.

You are suffering from body dysmorphia.

Logging the Strength Training is a good way to keep track of the numbers you are putting up. You don't have to do it, but you should be logging them somewhere (phone, notebook, etc).

I crush on cats all the time.

@malibu927 Squat rack, bench press, etc. are still free weights. The PT is still recommended. Learn the form from them, and you'll rid that intimidation. You have to understand, everyone had to start at the beginning. Suck it up, and you'll be totally fine in no time.

@jmule24 I said don't be one of those bodybuilders who can't lift. I didn't say all bodybuilders can't lift heavy. I gave a beginner advice that he needs to lift for strength before he changes it up to hypertrophy. 5x5 or 3x5 is fine for a 8-12 months. Let him get his lifts to acceptable numbers, then he can change it up…

Forget getting bigger. Focus on getting stronger, and then you can think about looking bigger. Don't be one of those body builders that can't lift for *kitten*. Besides, as a newbie, you'll grow regardless.

Then carry on  @mccindy72 I would suggest you do listen to that video I linked though, and check out her website Found My Fitness. She is nothing like Dr. Oz. She is a practicing scientist, who has been published multiple times, and does some cutting edge stuff.

@sunn_lighter Just on that Star Wars T-Shirt alone.

What is your lifting routine. You are talking 6+ reps in your first post. That is not where you will gain strength. You will gain the most strength in the range of 1-3. Like @ndj1979 said, start with a beginner lifting program, like Starting Strength, until you can get your lifts up to intermediate numbers, or at least…
-
@mccindy72 That is an ignorant statement, and you are definitely not qualified to be spreading that disinformation to people who are trying to get information. Spend a little time reading Dr. Rhonda Patrick's stuff, who has a PHD in biomedical science. https://youtu.be/qh0xB4OJdpQ I think I'll take her findings over your…

This is purely anecdotal, but I take a stack of Spirulina & Chlorella, and the biggest difference I notice taking it, is I don't get (much) lactic acid build up in my muscles, that I normally would not taking it. I train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 6 days a week, and I spar with people at full force for 6 minute rounds, 30 second…
