  • Nice job, Joreanasaurous! Will you go for a double again next year?
  • Spartan races are awesome! Finished another trifecta this year and going for a double next year! What is your goal for next year?
  • Thanks! I'm hearing that it going to be another level of brutal this year! Nervous/excited! AROO!
  • Oh right, right. That still sounds like fun! I had to drive to OH once which was about 8 hours. That was not a fun drive especially since I had to do through the night. :expressionless:
  • 3x Trifecta! That's fantastic! With a trip to Tahoe as well. That's a pretty amazing year. Have fun in VT!
  • VT is brutal, but the community of people that run are very supportive and always willing to help. But VT is definitely not a run, unless if you are trying for time. I'll be walking/jogging through the course just trying to beat my time from last year. Get those trifectas and sign up as early as you can to get the lowest…
  • Congratulations!! That's a big milestone. Keep it going!
  • I like working out in the mornings and sometimes will do both mornings and afternoon workouts. Depends on the weather, but mornings work best for me with a protein shake as I wake up and then dress and start my workout 15 or 20 minutes later. Then breakfast and planned snacks after that. Good for you for getting up. I've…
  • Excited for you tucky3203! Are you running the Philly Marathon? I have a couple friends running that in November. Keep it going and finish strong! I'll be cheering for all you all in your upcoming races!
  • Thanks everyone! I'll check out the recovery plan. And hollie894, you got this! Just find your pace and keep going.
  • I've seen something similar happen to friends of mine when one of the couple had major medical issues. Being "one down" took a lot of toll on the other and family. Those friends fought a lot and a big cause was that they didn't talk to each other to find the root of the problem. Eventually some of those friends were able…
  • Thanks! It felt like the longest "so close, yet so far" moments.
  • Always a work in progress
  • You should look at HIIT (high intensity interval training) routines/workouts. These are about 20 - 30 minutes each day. They have really worked well and just make sure you keep it up each day. If you search for HIIT routines, you will find a bunch of results that you can look through. Hope that helps.

  • Spartan races are fun. You definitely want to train for endurance and strength. Most people don't run between obstacles unless if you're trying to get a certain time for yourself. I found out after running my first race that I wasn't prepared as much as I thought, but I had a great time. My biggest weakness for the race…
