It’s all internal I believe, I’ve had one for almost a year and on hard tile or carpet it reads the exact same. When the manual said it can be used on carpet I was totally skeptical!

You need to go into the workout app on your watch and start one from there. It won’t automatically pick it up like Fitbit did

I’m 35 & 5’3 if I want to loose anything I have to be at about 1200, my Fitbit had me as burning 1284 calories days I didn’t wear it. I’m 5’3 started at 141 down to 130 now to lose a pound a week and that’s what mine is pretty much. I’ve got activity set to sedentary, and let my Fitbit adjust. Mfp sets me to 1200. Lazy days it’s perfect busy days I get up to 1500-1800 for calories.

I’m the same.... kind of. We had a kitchen scale I brought it out one day to play with and it’s so much easier than measuring for me. I’m not precise with it but it’s better than eyeballing or measuring on things like rice which if I want I can get way more than 30g into a 1/4 cup

Probably pretty much... just out of curiosity what is the point of a cheat day? Why can’t you just fit what you want into your calories? I get 1200 a day to lose a pound a week if I want something outside my calories I either make it fit or work for it

Eat what it tells you too, the math is all done for you. If you log or sync exercise calories eat them back as well, some people eat half some eat all. That part is kinda learn as you go I set my activity level to the lowest and track my exercise, and eat about 1/2 back.

Mine syncs steps on mfp and gives me about the same calories for it my Fitbit did, just had to change it to log steps from the Watch in mfp step settings

The aria should still sync if you have it syncd with mfp and mfp syncd with your apple. Mine does! I just went from Fitbit to an apple watch over the holidays as well
