I have been using intermittent fasting for the last few months and it works really well as love as keep a calorie deficient. I like to eat dinner, and so I don't eat anything until 4 after 4. Sometimes If I get hungry during the day I eat a protein bar around 1. It has really helped me to learn what hunger actually feels…

If you're doing it through a fitbit you have to make sure the device has synced with the app for them to show up here.

I lost about 30 pounds last year, all pretty much in secret because I didn't want people to know if I failed. I gained most of it back in the summer. This time I am telling people more that I am trying to lose weight, but I absolutely get that sometimes it just needs to be a you thing.

I will typically have a slight gain or stall out for the week before lady time and then loose 1.5 to 2 pounds daily over the next week.

yes, that's what I've been doing and it still allows me to enjoy life.

I have a fitbit flex and I love it. I don't wear it on my wrist though, I always wear it on my ankle or clip it to my shoe to get a real step count and not just how much I gesture. I am in a constant fitbit contest with a bunch of my friends and that will always encourage me to move more.

I have lost 20 pounds in three months and I am just so happy that I have found something I can stick with that works for me!

I've always heard slow and steady wins the race. As of today I have lost 20 pounds over three months, but I don't feel like I am dieting. I cut out fast food and heavy lunches and just started to watch my calories. What I am doing feels real and sustainable.

Height 5'7 Starting Weight: 265 Current Weight: 243 Goal Weight: 160 My goal weight is still over weight on the BMI scale, so maybe when I get there I may try to go lower BUT 160 is the weight listed on my drivers license. The whole thing is I didn't even weigh 160 at the time I got it! I remember thinking I would lose ten…

I am a late night eater so I changed the structure of my day so I can save my calories for the night.

Former Weight Watcher here. I had success with the program but stalled out pretty quickly. As other posters have mentioned calorie counting just makes sense!

You can do this! Admitting you are not okay with how you are now is the first step but it is not the hardest. Doing it the next day is the hardest. You can do it though! Just keep moving!

Fitness pal works better for me because it is cheaper and in a lot of ways easier. I have had a long history with weight watchers that contributed to my patterns of disordered eating. I believe that the program is moving away from the "tips and tricks" nature of the program though. (for the record I am talking about in…

I am a big proponent of weighing daily (particularly for women) because weight fluctuations are such a normal thing. Drinking and not peeing much before you weigh makes a huge difference!
-
Yeah, no. You're doing just fine. Like someone said up thread, you didn't put your weight on that fast and you will not lose it that fast either.
-
Woo hoo! Congratulations! Thank you for giving me some added inspiration for today.

Are you drinking enough water?

I'm a teacher so I can't hydrate too well because I can only manage to get to the bathroom a few times in the afternoon. Teacher life is a struggle!

I thought about this post all day at work. It is about making a life style change, yes, but a big part of my weight loss journey has just been waking up and realizing that I was eating a bunch of unnecessary calories (not to mention spending money I didn't have to spend). And FYI, I love to eat. I do not just eat to live…

Take care of yourself! Sometimes not logging can help your mental health. Remember, food is not the enemy.

First goal: BFs sister is getting married in October and I would like to be down a dress size by the end of September when I got to pick out my wedding outfit. Second goal: this sounds pathetic, but one of the happiest times of my life was when I weighed about 230 to 200. I would love to get back there (and to get back…

Thank you for making me feel better about being up two pounds! (my period is due today or tomorrow).

Open diary and I cook a lot (but then eat the same three meals all week)

Fast food was a huge fat maker for me even though 90% of the time it wasn't even worth all those calories. Going on a budget/being broke has helped me with this as much as going on a diet!

I weigh every morning. It keeps me grounded to know my bodies fluctuations and just how quickly weight can be put on.
-
lol, let's just imagine that this is someone's fetish. like someone eating broccoli and beans right before going to a yoga class in hopes of gassing someone.

I agree with Shanna. It's just making one healthy change at a time and sticking to it. It sucks that there is no quick fix but slow and steady will get you there in the end.
