Logging in recovery HELP

I had a small procedure done (got two wisdom tooth removed) yesterday. I am feeling pretty bad still (pain and swelling, don't know if its average but a tiny piece of my bones fractured during surgery so my throat and neck hurts) and i know that recovery can take up to 1 week or more. i dunno. I was able to eat yesterday but i was really pushing myself to log. i did log and didn't exceed my caloric deficit still at 1300cal. but i really feel that's not doing me any good. i am feeling very miserable right now and don't really feel like logging all my food and drinks. (i am not going to eat junk food, but i eat food that is soft, because it is the only things i can eat now.)
i should say that i am close to my weight goal (69kg now and i want to reach 63kg) but i don't want to mess things up by not logging but at the same time i feel like maybe this is extreme, is it okay to still be at calorie deficit?. any tips?

Not logging for a week is OK. Take the time to recover.
I've just spent the last 10 days quite ill and then today had Day 1 of a root canal. I haven't logged a thing since I came down with whatever it was, and this evening it has been all soup and yogurt.
Sometimes we just need to take care of ourselves and not worry too much about logging things. In a week, start again.1 -
Change your goals in your diary from lose to maintain your weight.1

yeah, i feel like i need to focus on recovery and rest, not on logging every drink and meal. but i wasn't sure if this could lead to me gaining weight. so i thought maybe people can give advice on not logging for a few days and how do they manage it.0 -

I just don't worry about it. Yeah, I gained a kilogram or so, but so what ... I'll lose it next week when I'm feeling better.

I don't think it matters all that much. Do make sure you are getting some protein, of course, and make sure you're getting your vitamins and minerals.
For example, if they had to break the bone to get the teeth out (they did when they took mine out many years ago), you might want to ensure you're getting some calcium. But don't go overboard.1 -
Eat maintenance. Your body is recovering and needs its full capability to do that.2

Take care of yourself! Sometimes not logging can help your mental health. Remember, food is not the enemy.1

thank you, the problem is i don't get enough protein in regular days i can't reach the protein goals set by MFP. but since it doesn't matter i will just try to eat balanced meals. just kinda hard when you can only eat soft foods.0 -

I found poached eggs were good when I had my wisdom teeth removed. I don't normally like poached eggs, but they were all right while I recovered.
And today I ate chicken noodle soup, cottage cheese, and yogurt. There's a little bit of protein in chicken noodle soup, and some in both cottage cheese and yogurt.1 -
Yup. I got mine out years ago, but I remember not being super hungry. The first few days I just preferred to sleep over doing anything else. (I got them out over spring break in high school, I didn't have any adult things to do haha.) I ate a lot of mashed potatoes and broccoli soup that my mom put in the blender for me. Sounds gross now, but it was exactly what I needed then.0 -

I agree ... I'm pretty sure I lost weight when I got mine out too. A few poached eggs and some yogurt and applesauce and things like that just wasn't enough to maintain weight.1 -
it is really weird how food and water and rest can change you in a couple of hours. i woke up today after 9 hours sleep. my neck, throat and chin were hurting really bad still. but i just had a good meal and i feel much better already. the swelling in my neck is better and my throat doesn't hurt as much.0
