Thirteen years ago I had bariatric surgery. Typically, the loss of weight happens over the first 6 to 12 months. I lost 67 pounds then stalled. One year after surgery, I had to undergo another surgery to repair a major hernia that was a result of the previous surgery. January of this year, I started on my mfp journey 18…

Went to Point Pelee and walked the boardwalk, pushing my mother in her wheel chair. I started a little ahead of my husband and kids and they said it was hard to catch up to me, that I was going too fast. Last year I would have been hesitant to start the 1km walk for fear that I couldn't complete it. While walking on the…

Down 1.2, for a total of 17.4. It was a challenging (fun) weekend, so nice to see the week to week still down.

You are wise beyond your years! It's sad that you were made to feel less than you are. You have a beautiful shape. Congratulations on your results, and for doing it for you!

That's great for the two of you. Only 0.4 this week, but now at 15.2 overall in less than 2 months, so happy. :)

4 pounds loss this week, for 14.8 in 6 weeks. Still 100+ to go, but I'm starting to feel the difference in my pants, and in my energy. :)

Hi Steve, That's great! Nice to work together on goals. Here's the link to the page. I don't know if there is a formal way to invite someone, but message her the link and that should let her add herself. community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/118990-e-a-t-to-lose-encouragement-accountability-tips

I'm down 0.8. I think it might be a bit more, but we had a nice ham dinner last night at friends and was up a bit from the last couple of days. I think it was more due to salt than overindulging.

Good job keeping it in check. :)

Sorry to here you were sick Joy. There seems to be some nasty strands of the flu going around this year. I'm in Ontario, Canada and my mom's retirement home has been under quarantine for over a month now. Good luck with the upcoming week.

Great job with what you are currently doing. So far, I'm more on the calorie side of thing. Need to get moving more, but seems to be a bit of a mental hurdle for me.

Great start Steve. Sure, some is the initial water weight, but not all of it is!

Down 2 this week, for a total of 10 since I started 4 weeks ago. So far will power has been good and managed to stick with it, but really struggling with wanting junk the last few days. Tracking everything really helps, even if some not so good choices snuck in this week.

Here goes. First post, as I have been more of a reader, than a poster. I'm 53, married, with a daughter(21) and son(19). I live about an hour west of Toronto, Ontario. I'm a teacher who is currently working at the union representing other teachers. I started on here four weeks ago. Although over 200 pounds since 1993, my…
