Hi guys. I'm Jimmy from Los Angeles. I didn't start running until a few years ago. I mainly did it to lose weight and it was a true blessing. It really changed my mindset. More on that later. Unfortunately I've dealt with some injuries along the way but I'm always excited to get back out there. I work from home so I live a…

There are some hardcore keto people who don't recommend coffee. Stephanie Person is one of them. She explains her rational in this video https://youtu.be/nBkttEmBBmk

I actually run with one of two phones. An iphone 5 or a cheap android. I keep them both in the pocket of my running shorts. My phone has never fallen out when I run. I usually run about 5 miles at a time. I don't like the arm bands because they feel uncomfortable when they absorb all the sweat from running.

I normally eat a variation of the same foods. For example, breakfast is usually oatmeal or eggs and bacon. Lunch is usually chicken breast with veggies or fish and veggies. I'm a little more lax on dinner but for the most part it's chicken or ground turkey. I may make fajitas, tacos, burgers or spaghetti. I don't like too…

You can take a gym class at your local community college. It's alot cheaper than a gym membership. I did that years ago and it helped alot. Unfortunately after the semester was over I was back to my old habits. Now I'm doing Youtube like everyone suggested. I'm doing mostly calisthenics because I don't have alot of weights…

I usually have two scrambled eggs with one tablespoon of salsa, turkey bacon and one slice of Ezekiel bread. Instant oatmeal is my back up if I'm running late and don't have time to cook.

I thought it would be weird to run down the strip. I imagine fitness is the last thing on everyone's mind. I will definitely try to make smart choices.
-
haha I get where you are coming from. I think I won't be so strict on myself but I do want to make healthy choices. At least if I jog or hike I can justify it. You are right though I won't be so OCD.
-
I'm gonna look into it. I definitely want to go on a hike. I'm not much of a gambler.
-
Thanks! I definitely will.

I imagine there is alot of walking. I don't have a fitbit so I dont know how I'm gonna track it. lol, it seems that everyone is suggesting just to forget about logging my meals. I'm gonna try to log as much as I can but I won't be so hard on myself. I love Thai thanks for the suggestion.

Unfortunately I cant relate. Coffee is my only vice. According to MFP its 0 cal. Its all the creamers and syrups people add that makes it bad. If you are ordering frapps from Starbucks then you are in big trouble! I would recommend using coffee as a positive reinforcement tool. Only drink it after a work out. That might…

A lot of great advice. Another option is to.grow your own veggies if you have the space. If not ask a friend or relative to lend you the space. Ron Finley in South Central grows veggies on public parkways. The dollar store is another option. You can find lots of tuna, sardines and other canned meats. In addition to milk,…

I pretty much do the same as the lajohnson2007. The only difference is I do it 7x a week and I eat from 12-6. I started cold turkey after I heard the Hodge Twins and Brandon Carter talk about it on YouTube. I still drink coffee and protein shakes are necessary to meet my macro needs in such a short feeding window. What you…
