  • I think it has to do with our time as moms put into buying, storing then cooking that food. Then cleaning the pots and dishes after we are very invested in the food.   • I have to schedule my workout days. On the scheduled days I don't really have a problem getting out to the gym but I am not at the point yet where I will go on a non scheduled day. I go Mon Wed and Fri.

  • Log everything you eat. Even when you are over (or WAY over) your target. Its gives you a picture to better know yourself. I look back and think why did I overeat. Unprepared, feeling sad, feeling happy and need a reward? Then you know how to tackle those days when they come again.
  • Yes you will be guessing but with all salads the calories are in the dressing so ask how they make it. From scratch or a mix it will give you an idea of how many calories to count for that. The rest of the items you can get a good ballpark by looking at similar restaurants.
  • Yup been there. It takes a lot of positive self talk. And almost like the alcoholic montra "just for today" to log calories. Crazy but it is what I need some days to keep moving forward. Its crazy cuz I felt so good with the weight loss and really never felt deprived.

  • I noticed the same thing for myself a high carb breakfast keeps me wanting to eat all day.

  • Yes sounds like time for a hobby. And a plan. I find planning dinner makes days way more manageable. Good luck.

  • I learned a lot from weight watchers, having the meetings does help hold you accountable and getting some pats on the back in person really helps.   • As long as these are not exercise calories, meaning added calories to your minimum set by MFP because you worked out, then I don't eat them. I usually find the next day I am a little more hungry so I will add 200 or so to that day.

  • High fiber things like fiber now bars and fiber one cereal do not work for me. I have to eat an apple every day and when I need extra relief I have raisins or dried apricots. Those two work every time for me.

  • Serve the kids what you eat, why do we feel it's ok to give the kids processed frozen chicken nuggets, or cans of ravioli, let's start them young to eat good whole foods with lots of nutrition. Not saying I don't struggle, I have a 6 year old who would eat donuts morning to night if I allowed and now changing her habits…

  • Fear makes people do crazy things. Don't be afraid, you can handle this. Focus on maintaining right now if that helps you until you get in control.
  • I find eating pasta doesn't keep me full when I am staying in my calorie goal. I do still occasionally have spaghetti for dinner. Its now whole wheat but I have to carefully portion.
  • Like the other suggestions buy your own food and maybe offer to cook a meal once a week. Maybe they will change some of their eating habits once they get a taste for better healthy food.

  • Nope but I do this at home. Scoop out what I think is a serving of pb and then check o.j. good scale. I have become quite accurate, I am satisfied that I can eyeball my portions when out.
