The red ones are my favourite food ever!! So delicious! @dsboohead, one ball is fine :-)

Hi all! The 4 weeks are now over, and I lost 2 kilos in total, from 61.6 to 59.6 kg. I am very happy with the results, and some of my clothes already fits better. I will be away for some days in the next months and I will keep logging food on and off when I am home in London. I hope I will be able to maintain the results…

When I am swimming or running and I want to stop I usually say to myself "Come on Giulia, you'll never be able to get the scholarship/finish your project/do something else related to my job or life if you can't even complete the training you planned". I might sound a bit harsh, but I find it very motivating for the other…

I agree! I love pizza too and try to make space for it once a week. I think that an entire round normal margherita pizza (tomato and mozzarella only) is around 800 calorie. I don't mean the big version to share, but the traditional one with the dimension of a big dish. The only thing is that following a 1300 calories diet…

I never had a slow cooker, but I remember being invited for lunch once and by a friend who had it and lunch was delicious!! I also try to cook something the day before for lunch, or on the weekend, I think is the best way for taking care of yourself! I keep a kind of diary here in case you feel bored and want to have a…

me too please!!! I am doing 1300 calories now. Some days is easier, but as soon as I want to have a pizza or something else, then it gest tricky
-
Hi Mike!! Welcome here :-) Yep with "busy lives" is not always easy... but also perhaps being distracted by work and other activities helps in not thinking about food too much!

The last time I wrote here was saint Valentine! I did go for shopping in the end, but instead of gym t-shirt I bought a nice dress, black with some small flowers. This morning I am proudly half a way of those 4 weeks, and the scale today told me I lost one kilos in the last week! So I am 60 kg now. Pretty excited to see a…

@estherdragonbat I have one in Italy and now my parents are enjoying it!! I miss it so much, I'll keep your recipe for when I visit them, thanks!! @Bekah7482 yes true frozen yogurt! I heard this many time and everyone who tried it, loves it, I'll try it in the next days! I have just bought a coffee yogurt, must be…

Thanks everyone! I just found the cheesecake recipe from @crazyravr the photo looks super yummy and I'll definitely try it! I don't use any protein powder and I prefer not to use it, so I just skip that ingredient or better to add just a spoon of flour for having the right texture? Mug cup are also a great idea! I just…

So, just a quick update here about good and bad things of the first ten days, because yes today is day number 10!! I am at uni now but I'll probably head home soon, I wanna do some food shopping and maybe a new t-shirt for the gym. I was looking at myself in the gym mirror and pants and t-shirt weren't matching at all…

Oh yes thanks a lot @callsitlikeiseeit for taking the time to do this! :-) You're right! I think I will stick with my diary here anyway, I feel it is more immediate, while people seems to write more "meaningful" things than just a diet diary there.
-
@callsitlikeiseeit not really to be honest! :-) I have been looking for a section where I could post a diary like discussion but haven't found it. I saw there is a blog where MFP posts articles about weight loss, healthy eating etc, and maybe some users have a person blog where they also write articles about specific…

I think a good way to help a friend would be to compliment with them about how good they look in a new dress, or how happier or more energetic they seem to be. I wouldn't say anything about food habits because it can be offensive even if done with the best intentions.

Good morning! Today was the first weight in day since I started my 4 weeks journey, and I lost 0.6 kg! So I'm now 61 kg (my height is 1.63 m) I am very happy of the result, I was out for dinner 3 days in a row: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but it worked anyway. I'll just try to keep doing more or less the same this week.…

Trying to sleep with no success... so reading a book I read already, posting here and reading hundreds of forum discussion... tomorrow will be a long day :) Maybe someone else is here for the same reason!
-
Yes @ktrulez they were really small and crunchy! I just found a pic in the internet to show you! But without the meat on the side, they were on a bed of undressed salad. @Machka9 hello! thanks for visiting here! Yes also the idea of staying on a diet forever is depressing to me. Eating healthy and not too much is okay, but…
-
Hello!! Add me too :) I keep a diary in the forum called 4 weeks to keep myself motivated and chat!
-
I don't why it happens but it seems to be like a pleasant side effect! When I am on a diet I sometimes dream of eating a lot losing the control, and I get very worried and disappointed, then when I wake up I realise it was only a dream...
-
I do at the moment! :-) what about you? what do you do?
-
Good evening everyone! Just went back home and surfing the internet a bit before sleeping. It is midnight here, but I can see many of you are from the US so must be some time in the day for the majority of you now :-) I was wondering if it's fine to use this discussion as a kind of diary, to keep myself motivated and…

Fresh or frozen salmon in the oven is delicious, and you do not need to add anything!

Hi! I usually have light 7-8 biscuits with hot tea. I have been eating this for all of my life and I am still not sick of it :-)
-
Hi @liaoverbrook ! Sorry to hear to you are struggling. I exactly see what you mean and I think logging all the food you eat might be counter productive for your worrying, because it will make you think even more about that. I also think this strategy of logging everything has many pro, like really knowing what you are…

Hi @ActionAnnieJXN !! And thanks for the welcome! Yes I always weight everything when I cook by myself, which is very often. And I always bring a lunch to uni prepared by me so that I know what is inside. However I am also worried that I will be obsessed with weighting and single calories, so I try to keep a balance. I…

Hi all again! Just a small update! I am keeping on track with the log in and the calories limit. Yesterday I arrived back home and my flatmate prepared a delicious apple cake! It smelled so good but I haven't tried, and I had a slice today for breakfast then! Tonight I am going out for dinner with a friend, I decided for a…

Hi @misskarne I'm not kidding and I have read all the previous posts. I like the aspect of having the focus on a limited period of time, and I think it could be a good strategy if a person does not have a big amount of weight to lose, neither very unhealthy habits to change, because it helps in staying focused for a…

Hi Madison! I see it can be tricky to start counting calories again after recovering from an eating disorder (well done by the way!!). Are you worried about something in particular? :-)
-
Hi bmeadows! your message is very interesting but also quite complicated :-) I'll give you my very personal opinion, which is based on my knowledge but I can obviously be wrong, so just take it as my opinion! 1- I also have PCOS, and I don't feel I get fatter any quicker than an average person if I eat more than I need,…

Hi! I'm living in the Uk too!
