I've done the same thing! In the wintertime, we are technically done at 3, but try to keep things going until 4. I started coming in an hour early so I can leave at 3 sharp and enjoy running in the sunshine! Nobody has commented, and I wouldn't trade a single run for it. In fact, I think my co-workers like having someone…

After a year or two 140-145 (just barely under "overweight" bmi), I have entered the 130s!! I have not touched the dreaded 140s for close to a month now and I can barely believe it. Whenever I feel like fudging or not sticking with my goals, I remind myself how close I am to getting back into the 140s and every decision…

The best kind of partners. Like Ron Swanson's best friend. They still never talk sometimes!

Yeah, if there are other people on treadmills around me, I tell myself I can't get off the treadmill until they do! Works wonders!

Productive acquaintances are the best! And a really awesome way to meet all sorts of people with a common interest
-
Oooh, meetup groups sound like a ton of fun! Especially for more lax things like backpacking. I might check that out!!
-
That's awesome!! I'm so glad you prioritized yourself. I tried to join friends at first, but had the same problems, let them go, and succeeded on my own

That's so funny you say that because, even though running is my primary form of exercise, I am SLOW. Anything above 5.5 mph feels like a sprint!! I'll just hang back here by myself, haha

Yeah! I don't have an issue if the other way works for others; I just don't want to be around it. And by virtue of my preferences, I don't find many others who share my positions. I'm apart of some fitness Facebook groups, and gratefully things are pretty uplifting! It is easy for them to get competitive, though.

Exactly! It's almost sacred. If I do have an exceptionally good day, I might snap a picture for posterity and share it in a fitness discussion if it's appropriate, but, yeah, never feel the need to share your alone time. And people can keep their thoughts to themselves for me, even if they mean well. It's always nice to…

Haha! That's kinda funny! I'm sure it was annoying at the time, but maybe you made an impact on her! But, yeah, I wouldn't have kept working out with her either

Also a vegan with an open diary! Feel free to add me!

Woohoo! I'm so happy for you! My only caution to you would be to make sure your juices contain sufficient fats and proteins from nuts and whatnot if you plan to do them long-term. Other than that, yaaay! If you want more vegan/plant-based friends, feel free to add me! I'm a vegan, and my diary is open!

I add it as 5 calories just to be safe

When I cut out meat and other animal products I was all freaked out about my ratios. Just make sure you're meeting your macronutrient and calorie goals! Also, feel free to add me!

Today I went to scratch an itch on my side and realized the "fluffy" squish around my bra just wasn't there. Straight up firm skin. It falls in one beautiful, continuous line.

This guy obviously had bad intentions, but that doesn't mean you can't be in a committed and faithful relationship and not have friendships (even through messaging) with people. OP and this guy seemed to be decent friends and were fitness buddies.
-
Or maybe they had become decent friends and she just wanted to continue the friendship? Messaging someone does not necessarily mean there's a romantic component.
-
Okay, that is super helpful! It makes a lot more sense now. Thanks, Staci!

I know that BMR is how many calories my body burns in a day without any effort. And MFP and FitBit have very different readings of what that BMR is, confusing me as to how much I naturally burn and how to eat at a deficit. According to FitBit, I can eat 2,000 calories a day and lose weight, and according to MFP, I'll gain…

I wasn't planning to, but we aren't doing things until the afternoon and I got a spanking new Fitbit that I can't wait to whip out, so I'm going to treat myself to an early Christmas jog

I'm from the midwest and love hiking! I post mainly on insta, if that's what you're looking for @greensandthings_

alright, thank you guys! I can stop watching Botched now, haha

Hey there! I lost about 40 pounds my first year of college and would love to help. Feel free to add me or maybe see if there are any other groups on the site

As a new veggie person who has dealt with the same issues, I've figured that Ad long as I meet minimum protein requirements (about 35g) that a higher percentage of carbs is just something to live with. I try not to go overboard, but I can't help it too much. If you're looking just to balance out the ratio to lower carbs,…

Got out of the swing of things in the midst of going veggie/vegan and with crazy school stuff, but I'm back at it! Please add me! (Veggie since May of this year, Vegan since Julyish)
-
I'm doing that too! Maybe we can help one another
-
You can do it!

I agree, stress and lack of sleep will slow your progress. It sounds like you're doing awesome though! Please don't give up! I've never done a cleanse, but have heard they're Good for jump starting weight loss. That and cutting out artificial sweeteners might help give you a push. Best of luck to you and your kid for a…
