It's great!

Disappointing? And I don't mind the weight loss, I just found it interesting since all my life I'be heard you need to eat no more than 1200 or 1500 calories if you want to lose weight.
-
I know exactly how much I'm eating, which is why I'm so surprised.
-
7-11 bananas with water + 1 T PB powder is my go-to.
-
I eat simply with mainly whole food ingredients, so it is easy to log. I'm positive.

If you consume enough calories, you'll get enough protein. Protein deficiency is common is third world countries where people are starving, or with those who have anorexia, but for most people in the U.S. It isn't really a thing. Our protein needs are actually a LOT smaller than others would have us believe. According to…

I've been eating high carb/low-fat vegan for the past two years. Within four months of starting, I had lost almost 30 pounds (which was all I wanted to lose). I've maintained the weight loss. It's key to eat wholesome foods still--just because it's vegan doesn't mean it's healthy. Whole, ripe, fresh, fruits & veggies;…

I make ice cream with bananas.

I have some ideas on my Instagram! I also avoid meat substitutes and prefer to eat veggie sushi, curry, banana ice cream, pizza, and lots of other yummy foods! @jessicasodenkamp

I love making nicecream, sushi, rice bowls, pasta, pizza...I post my meals on Instagram @jessicasodenkamp.

This is what breakfast usually looks like. I just blend frozen bananas and top is with fruit, shredded coconut, chocolate, whatever I'm in the mood for :)

My diet is vegan. (Specifically hclf vegan.) Why? It cured my anemia. I lost 25+ pounds. I'm getting more protein than I did when I ate meat. I'm achieving more nutrient goals than before. In fact, I didn't have to take prenatal pills during my pregnancy because I was getting everything I needed just from eating. My energy…

You could eat fruit all day and not gain weight. You'll more likely gain weight from consuming fatty foods. Fat consumed is easily stored. It is not readily used as an energy source and therefore not burned unless you are eating very little carbs (which is an unhealthy practice). Carbs, on the other hand, are readily used…

jessicasodenkamp.tumblr.com https://instagram.com/jessicasodenkamp/ Smoothies are quick and an easy way to get in the calories you need in the morning. Fruit is great to bring along as a snack, comes in it's own package :) Check out my links above for other food ideas.

I get a kick out of MFP every time I complete my diary. It tells me if I continue eating how I do, I'll gain 5-10 pounds in two weeks. I haven't gained weight since who knows when. I used to gain easily before I changed my diet, but I've lost weight and maintained it. I eat 2000-2500 calories/day and don't regularly…

Avocado on toast. Filling because of the fat so it will tie you over till morning:)

I used my vitamix for nicecream, then my mom bought me yonanas, and really it's so much more worth it to use a blender/food processor. It makes it easier to add more ingredients as well. Here is how some of mine turns out!
-
Ice cream. I eat ice cream. Granted, it's made with bananas...
-
Dinner Homemade avocado/cucumber/jalapeño sushi.
-
Breakfast Good ol cream of wheat.

Cut out dairy, meat, stopped using oil in cooking, reduced sodium intake and processed foods in general...Lost 25+ pounds :) Most of my calories come from whole carb sources (fruit, rice, potatoes) and I eat 2000-2500 calories/day. Minimal exercise, still haven't gained the weight back (1 1/2 years).

Going on 100 here! One things that a most people overlook is how the high (and even moderate) consumption of fats in the diet keeps blood sugar high by coating the cells and not allowing glucose to exit efficiently. High fat + high carbs = nightmare for the body. But when you lower the fat (especially from animal…

During my first pregnancy I divided that after the delivery I was going to change my diet and my body. I heard of the HCLF plant based diet and decided to give it a go. In 3 months I had lost all my pregnancy weight plus some. I've been eating this way for a year and a half and have not gained the weight back. Plus, I'm 21…

My suggestion will be different from everyone else's, but I lost over 25 pounds when I increased my carb intake and cut the fat. Like by a lot. I started eating lots of whole foods (fruit, whole grains, rice, potatoes, etc.) and stopped cooking with oil/eating high fat foods. The weight came off pretty quickly, without me…
