As you already know there is no magic key. You have to be in a surplus to gain muscle. With increasing age I have to work twice as hard. I also cannot eat too much otherwise I gain fat. Either you incorporate cardio or eat less.

Yes it happens to me sometimes. I have to have perfect posture and in a position where my neck is relaxed. If it is even a bit tensed it will flare up. Also if I don't warm up properly and go heavy it can also flare up. So I have to be very careful otherwise I can't even turn my neck at any angle.

Mass gainers may solve that problem if you are too busy/time to cook/buy a meal. Otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

This is what happens when you cut for too long/large deficit or don't cut the 'right way' IMO. You have to work in reverse. IMO you shouldn't be cutting any longer, time to seriously put on some muscle mass. Once you have a good foundation you can cut back down again.

Yes IMO you do look skinny fat. You don't have enough muscle mass on your frame. Eat at or near TDEE (higher even on tough days) and lift heavy. I wouldn't be cutting if I were you. Usually go at 3 or 3 30 am. Very very tough. At that time of the night, waking up, it's all you, no one is there and somehow you have to psych yourself up. The weird thing is I hate going to gym, lifting or cardio but it is a necessary evil.
