  • What's that? (I'll go and Google as well)
  • I'm also Cambridgeshire- St Neots :)
  • For me pre Corna I was an ice skater 3 times a week and a hiker on alternate weekends. Now I do tons more at home. My challenge would be to get my skating back in and not loose my workouts. Skating is early morning the same as spin so it would be switching those to the ice rink. I normally have one morning off from spin so…
  • I post on here. I write a lot of rubbish but I write for me - it helps occupy my fingers so I cant eat. I have not got any of my quick grabs in the house anymore. Sweets and crisps for other family members is only items I don't like so I then don't want them. Pepsi max is one of my great grabs. That's in the loft. I have…
  • How do you count your steps? With my Garmin its all about the wrist. When I spin no wrist movement so nothing. When I do weights / barree / conditioning not a lot of wrist movement / steps. However combat not a lot of foot movement (I bob / bounce a lot) but moving arms tons and steps go up. Dance I fling my feet and arms…
  • I've reached maximum weight (based on what I own) for squats!
  • My size 10 jacket that I bought when I was a size 18 (it was reduced from £250 - £10) I can now get on! After buying it I went up to a size 20 I think so even more exciting I can zip it up
  • A new one for me. A rather hard spin class the other week and I had to get off to puke!!! Had to stop a second time when thought it would happen again. It was a good class though :) I now grab a bucket to the side of my bike when doing it. If you use cleats you will know the struggle to get them off the bike when you are…
  • Kudos - I really struggle with spint. I have manage 10 a few times but I don't have the heart in it like trip. How are you finding 22? I puked the first time I tried it lol think that is the hardest one for me. Great fun but a killer!
  • I would say light weight as I was cycling in the snow today when there was a blizzard. But you would probably say it doesn't count as it's inside :)
  • I hated spin classes but I liked the calorie burn and sweat so tried to do them. Last year when i'll and stuck at home with corona restrictions I bought a spin bike - I stumbled across a class style I LOVED and now spin most mornings and love it :)
  • I was going to write only 41 as compared to most of you that isn't much. However, I am hoping its the start of logging so I am really pleased with my 41 days. Its not an only as I'm starting to create this as a habit so 41 is a great foundation as I am in month 3 of logging on :)
  • I saw myself in too many web meetings with 5 chins and this isn't the me I can remember so that was my ping moment. I used to be a fitness addict and I loved it. I want to get back to the same level of fitness / health. That was my why to get started again but I found after a few 'forced' sessions I got the old post…
  • My goals hmnmmm 1. Pre plan and track food on a Saturday 2. Don't find an excuse not to do Tuesday nights weights (I'm good at finding excuses) 3. Celebrate my success and don't beat myself up when I can't
  • Hi  I am an indoor spinner at the moment. January 20201 = 402 KM February (so far) = 12 KM I haven't had a good first week of February as been ill so was managing about 5 /10 minutes rather than a full workout.
  • What worked for me was plan plan plan plan plan. I plan my meals every Saturday. This week I managed to plan a pizza. I came in under my calories. I am so happy I made the maths work :) I only have pizza once or twice a year but knowing I can do it with the numbers working is brilliant :)
  • Enjoy it when it arrives :)
  • @sijomial Ohhh nooo :( I just feel for you. The weather is a killer. I have an 'amazing' photo of me somewhere cycling back from work. I had 2 options 10 miles and train or 23 the entire way. I Did the 10 and felt fine so went for the full route. This route is on a cycle lane adjacent to the A1 which is 'safer' than it…
  • I used to have digital scales that could do your body fat but but it was a fafff to get that reading. I recently bought a set of bluetooth scales so it could connect and auto log everything. I'm a daily weigher and love seeing how my body changes based on what I have done BUT I measure my loss weekly. I use ww caonair…
  • I had huawei before I went to my garmin. It was my first taste of a smart watch :)
  • Has it stopped syncing with here? The fried I workout with on the web has a Fitbit. I have a Garmin and a heart rate monitors motor. We can do the same class and be 300 calories different. I know I'm bigger so will burn more but even so.....
  • Unfortunately you only can judge when you have an issue. Glad you are sorted now though Mike and can totally understand you view of them. Pedal was something I was checking based on my weight. If they break on a 'decent' brand totally wouldn't buy their products. I retract my Schwinn is good bikes statement above :)
  • I have my Garmin fexix 5 s and a Myzone HR belt I got the MyZone when a gym I was going to used them and I thought they were very cool. I tried a few activity trackers and then ended up with the Garmin Fenix as I liked the GPS tracking for it. I now have a cadence sensor on my spin bike that links to it as well. The best…
  • As previously said I'm from St Neots. Now the title of the thread has changed let me introduce myself as well. I'm 46 and I would now describe myself as a yo you dieter and someone who had forgotten about fitness. In my 20's/ 30's I used to teach group fitness as a hobby around my day job. As a result of burning 2,000 cal…
  • Schwinn are good bikes, I have manual resistance I believe (where you turn the knob yourself) and its fine. Gives me really good control :)
  • We used to hike once a month and then do 3 /4 walking weekends each year. Totally missed those - will be lovely to walk properly again. Lover your profile picture btw - where are you?
  • I was about to ask about having pizza with the beer but read your other post :)
  • I have to admit sitting inside on my bike does have the weather benefits. I miss outside cycles to the pub (in my opinion you need to have a lunch stop in mind for cycling lol)
  • Ohh what movies are on the current list? I'm running out of items on Amazon Prime :( Good luck with your back :) Slow and steady wins the day!
