Look up knees over toes guy.

How recently did you give birth? Your joints are extra mobile and loose for a long time after giving birth from hormones, so be extra careful. Be patient and give it time, build up slowly. You’ll get there. I also sprained my ankle after giving birth. But I am now stronger and fitter than ever.

And plus sometimes it’s just fun and healthy to sweat buckets.
-
Yes you should. I run in the heat because supposedly it helps with VO2max and theoretically makes running in cooler temps easier eventually.

Yeah allergies make running pretty hard for me. How’s the climate where you live? Humidity also is really rough. I would say if you’re just starting out give it time. And focus on pushing the air OUT, it’s really hard to breathe properly if you aren’t exhaling enough carbon dioxide.

It’s taken me about a year and a half of strength training (after 3 kids) but my butt looks amazing now. My husband just keeps raving about it, so I guess all the work finally paid off. If you want go ahead and get the surgery, but the benefits of having toned and strong butt muscles are crazy important. You may not have…

Didn’t read all the comments, but honestly I prefer almond milk creamer! It seems creamier to me. But for overall health, yes I’ve heard dairy can cause inflammation and stuff. I mean, I would never cut it out personally, unless I was having major digestion and inflammation problems.

I didn’t read all the comments. When I lost weight years ago I tried on a bikini when I still had about 10ish pounds to lose. My stomach still looked a little pudgy and I thought I would never get a flat tummy. But once I lost a few pounds it seriously went away!! Just keep trying. You’ll feel better. Also, I’ve heard that…

I’ve tried for so long to be morning exercise person. I just can’t. But my evening workouts have been very effective!

137 is ideal. But I would settle for 140-145.

Yes, when I first started doing insanity my abs were sore and my appetite was reduced. Like my stomach was too tired to expand for food? Lol
-
If you love cardio and/or feel like you could push yourself more, then yes! Do u also do strength training?

Any type I start a new workout habit I retain water! And it lasts a really long time!! Focus on your habits and don’t even look at the weight yet.

Why do you not feel confident to run outside? Are you afraid people will judge you? I run outside all the time... honestly when I pass people I just think I am such a bad a** because I'm running and they are just sitting in there cars lol.

Oh I should add I thought cross country would make me lose weight, but no it did not. Definitely pay attention to diet for that.
-
I did both in High school. If you like volleyball more, do it. You can always go for runs in your free time. Volleyball can get you into shape, but diet is going to be more important if you're looking for weight loss.

It's a combination of weight gain and not running for so long. Did you run while pregnant? I didn't run with both pregnancies and it felt so weird the first few times I ran. It takes awhile to build back to your strength. Don't worry your muscles will adapt soon.

No advice. Just sharing that I have the same thing... and just like you I get it from my mom. Her doctor told her she can eat more salt.
-
I think I'm with the original poster. I enjoy working out in the evening.
-
Yessss!!! This. I have large calves and you really have to just change your mindset.
-
Wow. Did I write this??? Exactly same with kids same age. So much guilt. But just think you can be a much better mom the more in shape you get!
-
I only get this is the spring time. Lol I always thought it was something in the air

I always retain water when I start a new exercise regime or up my intensity. Drink more water. If you stop exercising for a few days it would go away, or just take our word for it and stick with it and it will eventually show on the scale.
-
But as for exercise, just a long walk in nature is awesome for some zen and to get your blood flowing. You can even listen to music, but just try to walk outside somewhere green.

What's taken me a long time to learn is that people don't have to stay in your life forever. Sometimes friends are only with us for a season of our life. It's okay to let go. And not be bitter towards them, because no one can really understand what you're going through. Do it for yourself and just know that it WILL get…

Does anyone just do it by themselves? Not a class and not following along a video? Thanks! I was wondering how people just "do it" daily. I want it to be as natural as running.

Hmmm I might just do that, but is it only on your phone and iPad? I think I would hate do something on such a small screen.
