As someone who has had surgery recently, less than 3 weeks ago, but who lifted 5 days out of the week, I can say not lifting is hard. It really is. But the muscle loss isn't as bad as I thought it might be. Of course that doesn't mean I'm not counting down the days until I can start throwing the weights around again. =)…

I tried a lot of different things but basically I learned to control my portions and keep under my calorie goals and that a combination of a little strength training along with a focus on cardio is what works for me.

This. Don't count standing as a calorie burn and then whine the next second about not losing. Which is what this individual did.

Well there was no fist fighting so I guess my cardio was lagging today. I'll have to try harder tomorrow to find a brawl. Lol

When I grocery shop I push two full carts lol,but I'm still going to not log it anymore. As for the woman logging calories burned while standing, I'll just take this into consideration when she whines about not losing weight.

That's what I was thinking, see I log "grocery shopping" because pushing two full, heavy carts around the store seems like a lot of work, but that got me thinking. So I don't think I will from now on.

I've had it done. From 429 to 263 currently. It was a life saver.

I made tofu nuggets and they were a hit! 1 inch cubes rolled in breadcrumbs and then fried or baked. Even the kids liked them. They said they had the consistency of mozza sticks!

I have MS so I decided that I am going to stick with one workout a day until I see how much my disease flares. Plus, the slow and steady just does seem more sustainable. Thank you all so much for the input.

I do basic 30 minute cardio workout on the treadmill. It's a Fat Burner program and it is a good burn for me. I understand about burning out, I guess I'm just anxious to jump start my weight loss again.
