Hi! I wanted to introduce myself to the group. I’m Nicole, 34 years old, and I recently adopted a WFPB low fat vegan WoE in order to support my health goals. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes when I was 23. Two years ago, i was also diagnosed with metastatic thyroid cancer, and currently suffer from high triglycerides…

Lol. Love this show. Fiance and I have had this exact conversation, and then we remember Anora (? I think that was her name), who went batshiz.

I like using YogaGlo. It has some great programs, and lots of restorative classes for back pain.

Number 3 is the lie? For me: 1. My fiancé's middle school pic looks exactly like a Tiger Beat magazine photo of Ryan Gosling. 2. I have been swimming with sharks. 3. Outside of my paid employment, I'm a paranormal investigator for a division of TAPS.

"The point" is different for everyone. Sometimes you have to start by pulling a Michael Scott (yay for any Office fans out there) and say, "Do I want my life to be better, worse, or stay the same?" "The point" lies within how you answer the question.

You could try getting it on a wrap instead of the sub roll, but when I go to Subway, I order the foot-long Club with all the veggies and hots and just enjoy the crap out of it. If I got out to eat for lunch in general, I usually have a very light breakfast and light dinner planned.

The Waist Trainer is just another "beauty" gimmick that contributes to this horrible message that women need to look a certain way in order to be beautiful. Don't waste your money by supporting a culture that degrades women's natural beauty. Healthy is beautiful, and comes in all shapes and sizes. We need to support…

No, haha, but now I want to!

Me too!! There was one episode where durian was a basket ingredient, and I thought the contestants were going to lose their minds.

are you working with your pcp at all around your health goals? he/she might have some additional alternatives that you haven't thought of yet. I second the suggestion to track everything that you do, as well as measure/weigh out portions. when I started doing that, I realized that I was serving myself larger portions…

Awesome! He looks very fit, and handsome ;)

Pretty much all of Volbeat. Warrior's Call is awesomely motivating.

Did you end up sending one of those tweets where you post a picture of your food and he comments on it hilariously?

I just remember one season early on where this African American woman was flirting with Bobby so hard. Carla, I think her name was. SOOOOOO funny!
-
I love, love, LOVE that show. I miss Bobby and Anne together though. They had great chemistry.

EEEEK! Chopped episode with Chef Anne Burrell! She's my culinary girl crush.

This is helpful, thank you! :-)

I'm pretty new on the boards as well.... so are we allowed to say "Go *meow* yourself?" ;) (BTW - not directed at anyone here, just a general musing).

Glad you're getting yourself checked out, and you're working on cutting back/eliminating the drinking. I don't drink at all, for health reasons, as well as the fact that it just doesn't really appeal to me, but I do understand the struggle to reduce things that you crave or enjoy for the sake of your health and wellness.…

Lol, I think I binged on cucumbers the other day because we have SOOO many from our garden, and I was just craving crunch.

It takes some prep work, but I've made these cauliflower toasts before and frozen them so I have them on hand from breakfast. http://www.delish.com/cooking/recipes/a50033/cauliflower-toast-recipe/ Top with some heirloom tomato and avocado. Or cream cheese, a little arugala, red onion, smoked salmon and capers.

Shoot, that's where I've been going wrong....I figured since he wears my bras and maxi pads, I have the right to eat all his Oreo's.... That'll learn me. :D

I love watching Chopped Junior and MC Junior. The kids are so inspiring, and they are so much more gracious toward one another than the adults lol.
-
I remember watching an episode (I think it was a viewer's choice for box ingredients), and one woman pulled a Pretty Woman and was like, "Big mistake. HUGE."
-
Lol. That must mean they're healthy and we should ALL eat them!! GD Nabisco. Where's the sarcasm button??
