I had to stop for a quick lunch before work at a convenience store. Instead of the delicious double chocolate chip muffin (that I love) for 650 calories I grabbed a Special K meal bar and a small bag of jerky for my afternoon snack. It was hard to do but I'm glad I did!!

@freelancejouster I agree. I feel like this is a much better goal for me. It will take much longer but I will have more success in the long run I think. Plus when my body adapts to the 1/2lb goal I can always adjust my calories to aim lower to increase my losses. :smiley:

I just did a little math. At this rate it would take me 2.5 years to reach my goal. At first I was a little bummed out but I could be at my goal in 2.5 years or I could be the same or bigger. I'll take the slow path for now.

I'm with you! I had my second 7 months ago. I'm beginning to see that get thin quick plans are hard to maintain. I've learned that a lifestyle change is the only way to go!

I was tempted to eat a bowl of lucky charms as a snack tonight but I didn't have the calories. I distracted myself with planning my daughters birthday party and before I knew it the craving had past! Late night cereal is my weakness. Not tonight!

I went to the gym even though i knew I would only have 45 minutes rather than my usual hour and a half. It was tempting to use not enough time as an excuse.

I got in a killer workout yesterday! I am so sore and I don't feel like my muscles can handle a workout so I'm spending the day doing some heavy cleaning so I'm not just sitting around all day.

I got a flat tire! I had to take my car in for 2 tires and an alignment. I found the closest shop to the gym and went for a workout while waiting. Much more fun than sitting there for 2 hrs!

I agree. So far o had only used barbell squats for a butt workout but the extra oomph from the elliptical was so nice!

In the same boat! Medication has helped a great deal but the endorphins from a good cardio workout really changes my day! Anyone please feel free to add me! It's nice to have a support team of people who are working through the same stuff!
