in a normal day I walk over 10,000 steps with occasional heavy lifting. What should my activity level be set at?

I would put it at active. The lifting I would say you should log separately as excise.

Do you have an activity tracker? If so, you should have your activity level set to sedentary, enable negative calorie adjustments and let it do the rest.0
