Anyone have a 5K to 10K training program they'd recommend I follow? I'm at the point where I can finish 3 to 4 miles and feel like I can do more, but I'm not sure if I should push it too much. My legs are feeling good. Other than normal muscle aches I have no complaints.

I set an attainable goal of 30 for this month because I wasn't sure what to expect. At the start of the month I couldn't do 3 miles without walking a little bit. Now that I'm past that stage and feeling a little more confident I'll go ahead and bump to 70 for this month. 1-2: 3 miles 1-4: 3 miles 1-6: 3 miles 1-7: 3 miles…

Bumped my distance from 3 to 4 with ease. A light mist was falling at the start that turned into a steady rain. Was awesome! At the end I felt like I could go another mile or two with relative ease. I think I'm going to schedule my first ever 5K or 10K to give me something to look forward to. 1-2: 3 miles (had to walk a…

Just keep stacking small victories... and then... boom! Keep it up.

Great job and best wishes on wonderful 2016.

Looking for more friends that like to post comments and provide actual support/motivation. I'll do the same.

I'd love to quote all the pages I just went through and give a big thumbs up to everyone but a way to go everyone will suffice. Love this thread. Hoping to post my complete results in a month or two.

That's pretty funny. Free to eat whatever and still making good choices. I head to the chip aisle because the nuts are there and stroll by the chips with no problem. Love it. Really hoping a year from now I can say the same thing!

Went to the grocery store today and didn't even think about the old stuff I would have bought 6 months ago. The cashier, a woman I've seen there for two years but haven't had more than brief conversations with, commented on my selections, weight loss, etc, and asked for advice on how to lose weight. Feels so good to want…

Very nice work. Make 2016 even better.

You're looking so good. Soooo so good. I'm sure you're feeling even better. Congratulations.

Holy smokes! Loved reading your story. Simply awesome job, sir.

All the hard work and dedication is worth it. Simple as that. I'm motivated to do so much more than I was before. Since dropping my weight I'm better at my job, nicer to people (not that I was mean but I was unhappy and didn't always take the time to share in the joy of others), more likely to do random fun stuff just…

Nice work! Any new goals? Want to lose a little more or are you feeling good about where you're at?

Wow! Awesome job. I love seeing the huge smile in your after pics. You can tell you're really carrying yourself with so much confidence. So happy for you.

Unreal. Big congratulations on your hard work, dedication, motivation, discipline, *kitten* kicking, etc.

Thanks, neighbor. Time to get it back off. Sent a friend request.

Wow. This is what I have going on tomorrow night. Rogers Park is just north of the Uptown neighborhood here in Chicago.

Is that a trout in there or are you just happy to see me?

1/2 - 3.0 miles This is my fourth ever run as an adult and I'm loving it. I made it just under 1.5 miles before needing to walk for moment to let my legs stop screaming at me. All miles under 9 minutes so I'm feeling encouraged and ready to head out again on Monday. Must buy warmer gloves. Stayed warm enough with the…

30's for a little longer. Looking for more people to fitness stalk (and post nice support messages).

Don't have cheat days, have cheat moments. If I want some chips or a slice of pizza at the place on the corner I'm going to have some f'n chips and that slice of pizza. That said, I'm working out on a regular basis and maintaining a healthy diet the rest of the time. As long as you're putting in the effort on a regular…

I take that back. 30.
